That stadium will be incredible, and will be a great home to the Dirty Birds, SEC Championship, College Football Playoff, BCS Championship, Final Four, and whatever event of grand stature it deserves.

For those bitching about tax dollars funding it, first of all, it's a hotel/motel tax. Out of town visitors pay for it.

For those saying the Dome is fine and was renovated back in 2008, you are right--it was. But who cares? Arthur Blank is a first class owner, and businessman. His Smith/Dimitroff regime is the winningest in the NFC in their era of the past 5 years. The guy knows what he's doing.

For the life of me, I'll never understand why New Orleans didn't take all of that free money and implode that humpty dumpty Dome in New Orleans.

I used to never be big on the 'build a new stadium' train, until I went to Cowboys Stadium. I'm sorry, I've seen the future, and it's glorious.

In fact, every other team in their division has won something during Blank's ownership.

I keep forgetting everyone on this board is probably a Saints fan.

And while I do loathe Atlanta's playoff losses over the past five seasons (especially that NFC Championship game last year), I do appreciate their efforts, giving me something to smile about most Sundays.

I know it's a curse, but I really appreciate that as an Alabama/Falcons fan, it really is: Championship or Bust.

The Falcons came a game short. It happens. Hell of a lot better than being deadlocked with three teams at 7-9.
