I've lived in GA (born, raised, educated), MA (few years after UGA) and AK (presently and for all future balance of my natural life). All these states border an ocean, and Alaska borders both ocean and gulf.

Not like most would picture the ocean, because it's part of the "inside passage."
Louisiana does as well, but it's much much different from here.
