Kevin Steele was fricking fired for sucking d*cks on the job at Baylor
If he had accomplished anything he would still be there. After all they let Brittany Griner join and stay on their women's team, didn't they?

Well I guess it'll make them feel better if Steele sucks when Chavis flops without any talent, assistant coaches, or help from an offense with a top 5 time of possession and the benefit of opposing teams only running 60 plays a game against them. Chavis gave up ~5 yards per play at LSU last season, do the math to see how that would've turned out at A&M considering they run 80 plays per game and have a bottom 10 time of possession.
Now imagine how it's going to turn out when he gives up 5.5 YPP instead of 5 due to the dropoff in pretty much everything that benefited him at LSU. The dude's stats sat firmly outside of the top 25 when you look at them on a per play basis (3rd down %, yards per play allowed, etc.) and not per game basis which our offense skewed in his favor
More fatigue + far less talent + downgraded assistants + quieter stadium and less home field advantage + the fact that he's about to retire = A&M sucking again this season unless he pulls a miracle and does more than he did at LSU with less than he had at LSU

Its like all the tigahs got the same little pamphlet on how to whine about Chavis and defend Steele. Its all complete and utter nonsense. I love it.

That dudes write up is pretty much their prepared statement that is regurgitated. It's sad really that a state with such wonderful culture and creativity lacks free thinkers

He wasn't fired from Stanford was he?

Only had to look down to the third reply. LSU's dominance has got you rustled AF.

In.
Not counting Robb Smith, because Schiano was canned by Tampa and everyone was bought out.
Also, not sure, but didn't Butch Jones decline to renew Sam Pittman's contract. If so, thanks!

At least my DC's "abject failures" aren't so well documented they have their own catch phrase.

I'll get back to you when ya'll get blown out week 1 against Arizona State have you ever considering that all the "tigahs" are saying the same thing because it's true? Ya'll are going to be extremely disappointed if you don't damper the expectations a tad bit, Chavis wasn't a very good hire for A&M considering his coaching style. Would he do great at Bama or UGA or another school with a more traditional offense that can control the ball and let him "bend but not break" and back it up with elite special teams? Absolutely. Ya'll's hurry up high school offense, weak DB's, and terrible assistants aren't going to give him the help he needs bud

What state? I live in Sarasota champ, enjoy your life in the a-hole of America known as Texas. I'm 100% right and it's going to show this season. Ya'll have no rational explanation as to why you expect Chavis to be good at A&M other than "he was good at LSU with the most talented defense in the country for 6 straight years"

Here come all the Ags to tell us how much we're melting. I'm shocked, truly.

Where exactly did I say that? He was fine at LSU, just like 300 other DC's would've been in that era with our players, coaches, resources, stadium, etc.
My point was that he won't do nearly as well as ya'll think he will. In addition to his mustang package which gets picked apart anytime a game is close, he doesn't have the talent or other advantages to "bend but not break" like he did at LSU. Do ya'll have Patrick Peterson, Sam Montgomery, Eric Reid, etc? Do ya'll have Brad Wing (easily, bar none the best punter I've ever seen at the college ranks which gives the defense a huge advantage)? Do ya'll have Ed O or Corey Raymond? Or an offense that keeps the defense off the field for extended periods of time? The list goes on. A&M is a step down from LSU in every conceivable way
Seriously, no aggies have answered the simple question yet as to why you think Chavis is going to be so great. Ya'll understand that he gives up literally .5-.7 yards per play more than he did at LSU last year and ya'll are going to go 6-6 right? And there's no reason to think that he'll match his success at LSU IMO, but feel free to tell why there is if you think so

throw a few stats out there to rain on the big aggie circle jerk over how great they think they're going to be this season, get hit with the melt card by the barely functioning retard known as texag7 whose sole purpose on this board is to tell people they're melting when he doesn't have anything to say to defend his shitty football program
