You folks need to understand that these awards HAVE to be given out to bammer football coaches. The bammer football coach is hired not only to win games but also to be worshipped and seen as a diety.
He will be said to have impeccable character no matter how much Dickel he drinks and how many whores he bangs behind his wife's back.
He will be said to be a man of impeccable. Bar after no matter how many times he does his very best to exploit every rule and run over every gray area on his way to success.
The bammer football coach does not have to obey the spirit of any rules (as an honorable man would) he just have to give off the image of obedience and win football games.
Then he gets a stature to permanently show their loyalty to his ego.

Nick Saban is the best college football coach in the game.
Those who suggest he is a great human, on the basis of character or integrity undermine their own credibility.
He's a great coach, but his humanity is not a strong point.
Richt or Miles are better examples of character and integrity.
