Mathieu got beat on that play and rather than allow Dre to make a play committed a foul. The foul spun Dre off balance and when he hit the ground his head struck the ground hard causing a concussion! Nothing more than that LSU fans calling it a flop are wrong, Bama fans calling it a cheap shot are wrong.
Both fans based those opinions on what they want the series of event to be not on what happened.

Watch the fricking play. He didn't punch him, it was a dumb hold, but Dre flopped like a soccer player, and his his head on the ground. If TM7 hurt Dre's head with his hand, through a fricking football helmet, he needs to give up football to start boxing. Oh yeah i get my shoulder pulled and of course i land on my head, or if I have any coordination, i don't. Dre is a D player i think he has the body control to not land on his head, if he isn't trying to flop.

Anyone can have an opinion on the "hit". I understand people saying it was a cheap shot, because I agree that he shouldn't have done it, but if you are trying to say what he did in some way hurt the Bama player, then you are delusional. That was one hell of an acting job, and the Bama player should have won an Oscar.

Ok. Some guy comes running up behind you. You are basically blindside with a fully extended right arm (fist in the chest right below the chin). Would you think someone sucker punched you? Dre may have flopped. HB looks for opportunities and advantages. He chose the wrong one. It wasn't malicious but it sure was a bumb way to play football.
