I'm not sure, but I think this kid had a spotless record when we recruited him. Not saying we don't recruit thugs, but you never truly know the character of some of these kids until you've been around them for awhile.
And again, we don't know what Alexis did or didn't do. Clearly something happened, but the girl changed her story several times. She also said at the beginning that she was pressing charges, then she said a few days later that she wasn't pressing charges, then a few days later she said she was joining the Title IX civil suit.
If it all went down exactly the same way she initially said it did, there's absolutely no way he would have been able to plead down to a misdemeanor.
