Looked at final CFP ranking. Guess who was #13. If this was next year, the Mighty 9-3 LSU Tigers would be left out. Would any of you Tigers fans care? Would you be magnanimous ( big word for this gump, not sure I spelled it correctly but you grammar police forgive me). OU was number 12.

How would you react being left out if this was next year?

Would the argument for 11,12,13,14,15 , 16 be who had best strength of schedule, best wins, best losses, in better conference etc etc

Would be the same argument you all are brutalizing Bama over.

I suspect number 13 will be just as upset as FSU was this year.

My advice to FSU, go out and obliterate Georgia and hold your head high.

1 Michigan 13-0 2
2 Washington 13-0 3
3 Texas 12-1 7
4 Alabama 12-1 8
5 Florida State 13-0 4
6 Georgia 12-1 1
7 Ohio State 11-1 6
8 Oregon 11-2 5
9 Missouri 10-2 9
10 Penn State 10-2 10
11 Ole Miss 10-2 11
12 Oklahoma 10-2 12
13 LSU 9-3 13
14 Arizona 9-3 15
15 Louisville 10-3 14
16 Notre Dame 9-3 17

I would have no complaints other than with our own defense. That’s too big of a flaw to justify when arguing about rankings. Is what it is.

There’s no reason to be magnanimous. frick Bama and any other SEC team, always. I don’t understand why any of you cheer for anyone else when it doesn’t directly benefit your team. frick that bullshite.

I’m more worried that Matt House will be retained. If so, we’d be very lucky to be 13th next year.

They would start with the fact they beat mizzou who had a weak schedule…

Gotta be fair to the little guys. The ranking will be manipulated to include teams like liberty, crappy pac10, big12 champ.
The top 8 will get in and 4 long shots

There will be even more controversy moving forward. Who will be the top four gettings byes? Who will be the next four getting home field games in first round? Who will be the teams bumped by the non-Power 5 champion?

Can't wait!

And that's fine. Once you leave the top 4-6 teams the odds drop off pretty hard that you're going to make a run.

It's like a small team making the sweet 16. A nice story, nothing more.

So, what you’re saying is no matter what, there will never be consensus in College Football. There will always be some fanbase upset until be have an NFL style playoff system. That can never happen with over 140 or so teams.

So you win some and lose some. Such is life.

You made my point well

I totally agree. It’s what makes the College game what it is. Don’t ever want boring NFL.

I agree my gator friend. Your team won’t have to worry about making playoffs.
