Tennessee having the same record as LSU and Alabama, beating both teams, and dropping below both teams just makes me smile

Records are meaningless, it’s all about when you lose

Which puts them in the Citrus Bowl as long as LSU doesn't get blown out.

Same

Only thing that sticks out is LSUs SOS is 6 while USCs is 40. Only reason I could possibly see this decision. Either way, they have to win out to have a shot at it

Texas A&M game now takes on huge importance. LSU can afford to lose to UGA and remain in Top 10 and NY6 bowl. Loss to Aggies destroys finish. LSU should have bigger focus on Aggie game now. No. 5, realistically, is the ceiling … barring the huge upset in Atlanta.

I thought there was still a pretty good chance lsu would get left out at 11-2, but the committee just told you....win out amd you're in

I said in another thread I thought LSU would be #5 when they played UGA. Which bodes well for UGA as well. The higher rank LSU is plays in their favor if they were to beat UGA.

Well, and who you lose to and by how much.

If Tennessee had lost to UGA by, say, 3, they'd still be way up there.

They lost to South Carolina by 25. The fact they're still top 10 is a testament to the wins they've gotten.

That’s good news for LSU. The media is pushing USC but the committee feels LSU

If both LSU and USC win out, it'll be interesting to see where things end up.

Do you put in UGA and LSU alongside the OSU/UM winner and TCU if they go undefeated? Does USC, finishing off the season with wins over ranked UCLA, ranked Notre Dame, and a ranked opponent in the PAC12 title game, make it?

It will definitely make things VERY interesting for that final poll if LSU pulls off the upset over UGA.

I also think it's interesting to see two 2-loss teams over 1-loss Clemson. At least people acknowledge how absurdly easy their schedule is in comparison.

I am surprised that we are in the top 10 after that beat down last week.
