I should have prefaced it with "in recent years" like the last 10.
2013 12 2
2012 5 7
2011 8 5
2010 10 3
2009 8 5
2008 10 4
2007 12 2
2006 8 5
2005 7 5
2004 5 6
splitting the win total difference between 5 and 12 to get 8.5 that works out to:
2013: + 3.5
2012: - 3.5
2011: - 0.5
2010: + 1.5
2009: - 0.5
2008: + 1.5
2007: + 3.5
2006: - 0.5
2005: - 1.5
2004: - 3.5
Edited for math goof:
Total (10 years): 85 wins, exactly 8.5 per year, with better results in the more recent five years than the prior five years.

wrong. We are so fricked without Menziel that we aren't even fielding a team next year. we can't take 12 77-0s
we'e going for 2 every time - expect 88-0

Wow. Mizzou has moved up from 6th in 2013 to 4th in 2014. These guys are good. Real good. Almost psychic.
And here I thought it was a couple of dumbasses sitting around in their underwear trying to come up with a way to sell some pathetic magazine.

Who's Bama's quarterback again? Doesn't matter?
Awwwww skeet skeet roll tide!!!
What about LSU? Is that dude that quarterbacked their bowl game the qb? Ugh...no. Who's feet is he going to throw at?
Whatever...we used to it.
lol Marshall is your QB and you lost the best RB in the SEC...and AU runs 75% of the time
solid logic

Mizzou averages less than one SEC win a year, so I don't know how anyone is predicting them to be anything but cellar dwellers in the East!

I do have a question about the offense that Auburn runs, what happens after Marshall leaves and you can't find another running QB much like what happened after Newton left?
God people are stupid when it comes to Malzahn. Watch some football FFS.

I'm really not expecting much of a drop off.
he was a system running back anyway, right?

Bama loses Heisman finalist QB in perfectly balanced offense: Doom
Auburn loses Heisman finalist RB that broke Bo's rushing record in offense that runs the ball 70% of the time: no drop off, 1st place.
Auburn Logic.
running back is the easiest position to replace...just ask Ingram, Lacy, Richardson etc..
We have Payne, Barber Grant and Roc...were set at Rb
Losing a Qb is a game changer.

Point isn't that Gus is unstoppable. The point is that what Gus likes or wants to do is so frequently misstated by rival fans.
Yes, some mobility is very helpful, but Gus would likely tell you his ideal QB is more of a mobile passer than an elite runner. Cam and Marshall are not necessary, in the least, to do what Gus wants to do.

How were we fricked?
This board … I don't get it. Some of y'all are flat-out unhinged.
I really enjoy the SEC.
But here's what I've learned--and it's something that SUCKS:
Many SEC grads are so insecure, they feel a constant need to run down others.
No one is happy unless their sports team is number one.
And that's unfortunate.
There's much about which to be excited/grateful/smile, even if your team doesn't finish #1 in the nation.
I don't get it. And I'm not sure I ever will.
We weren't "frickED" with Johnny Manziel; it was fun to watch him.
And that's what makes life damn good.

Only against LSU
sorry, my mistake

Y'all have definitely had our number these past two years--a complete tribute to your coaches (and the reason why I've picked LSU to win the west this year [see the "top 3 teams" thread]).
Again, we weren't "fricked" with Johnny.
Watching him in action--live--was better than just about anything.
And there's lots of good shite out there to watch.
Thanks for the response.
