Where does UNC slot in your formula? Trying to see if Mack could get us in top 25 before he retires.

UNC ranks #43, up one spot from last season (passed Baylor). Top 25 is going to be difficult to swing anytime soon, but when you get down to that part of the rankings, teams get really packed in together. Here are the next teams you could pass:

#34 BYU- 179
#35 Army- 177
#36 Maryland- 167
#37 Missouri- 165
#38 Syracuse- 158
#39 Kansas St.- 153
#40 Boise St.- 150
#40 Oklahoma St.- 150
#42 W. Virginia- 142
#43 N. Carolina- 141

Wouldn't take too long to pass those teams. Literally just one Top 10 finish could jump 4 to 5 teams.

That +75 we’ll get next year should really help! Ha

your rankings are very similar to the now defunct CFB Data Warehouse. Based on the last rankings you can find on the archive LINK I would expect their rankings after 2020 would look like this, which is pretty close to you

Best guess of 2020 CFB Data Warehouse rankings

1. Bama
2. ND
3. Oklahoma
4. Ohio State
5. USC
6. Michigan
7. LSU (Barely passed UT and Nebraska and with another bad year falls back to 9, with a few good years prolly overtake Michigan by 2025)
8. Texas
9. Nebraska
10. UGA
11. Tennessee
12. UF (will overtake Tennessee within 3-4 years or a sec/cfp title they would be pushing UGA)
13. Auburn
14. Penn State
15. Clemson(would have jumped to 11 with a CFP win.)
16. Miami
17. Minnesota
18. GT
19. Washington
20. Florida St
21. Michigan St
22. Texas A&M
23. Pitt
24. Arkansas
25. Wisconsin
26. Stanford
27. UCLA
28. Ole Miss
29. Iowa
30. Oregon

So we’d be top 10 if not for the Cotton Bowl. D’oh!

Ok let’s run it back starting at 2000 until now. Consistent. Little to no losing seasons. Just straight winning.

1. Alabama - 6 titles
2. LSU - 3 titles - 4 appearances
3. Oklahoma - 1 title with 3 appearances.
4. USC - 2 titles
5. Ohio state - 2 titles.
