You have lost your mind when it comes to Mizzou and the Rant fans. The fact you can't see it is amusing enough to keep jabbing you about it.

The 4 of the top 5 teams was nonsense. And saying the ACC is better is nonsense.

4 of top 5 was a bit much, but that's not what makes the West so tough this year. It's the whole group, top to bottom, that makes it so.

ETA: if you're just talking top ranked teams then the 2011 West was the best ever. 1, 2, and 3 going into the final week of the season. The rest of the West was mediocre to bad though, which is why, as a whole, 2010 and 2014 are both tougher.

I'm pretty sure that's all kilo was arguing against.

It's still an incredible gauntlet, even with some of the teams a little down versus their recent history.

I've provided facts as to why the West isn't overrated. You have provided none as to why it is. We'll just leave it at that.

You dont want to hear them. You brush them off. There is no chance at having discourse when one only considers "facts" that enhance their opinion or stance.

808 brought up some legit things, that I have brought up before in other threads as well, that you summarily rejected. Whats the point going on when thats the case? Outside of feeding Grits some morbid satisfaction

Pretty much. The thing I noticed is that its the fans of teams that have their chances of SECtitle/playoff gone that usually have the biggest problem with that statement. It may just be a way for some fans to validate their season.

Nothing I said or the opinion I had was over the top or outrageous. State and Ole Miss were carrying the torch for the West for christs sake. Think about that.

Now you're just making my point for me. The fact that OM and State are so good this year is what makes the West what it is and not overrated. Getting caught up in the names on the front of the jersey's and not what they've accomplished on the field is ridiculous.

Well, except when Its Mizzou and South Carolina on the front of those jerseys. Thats for another thread.

This is without question a SEC West dominated forum, something to be said about the echo chamber.

So this whole thing about the West being overrated is because you're butthurt that Mizzou didn't get enough respect last year? Now it makes sense.

It's time to get over it though don't you think? Mizzou is one mediocre East team and the 6th and 7th place West teams away from repeating as East champs. Since the West is so overrated I guess you can chalk both of those up as W's.

LSU didn't blow away Wisconsin.

True, but it was a neutral site game and Tigers showed grit in coming back late to win

Auburn didn't blow away KState.

Who goes to the home of the Wizard and blows them away? As a former B12 member you should know how hard it is to go there and get a win.

Here is the KSU vs MU history LINK

Pretty much all KSU wins with Snyder
Pretty much all MU wins without Snyder

Bama won by 10 against a middle of the pack Big 12 team (WVU has 3 other losses)

Yeah, the same West Virginia team that should have taken out TCU but lost by 1 point? By that logic Alabama > TCU at least.

Yes. Is it ok to not believe that the SEC West has 7 top 20 teams? Yes.

Nice to slip the Hogs in there. Take them out and...
# 1 / # 1 Mississippi State
# 4 / # 3 Alabama
# 9 / # 9 Auburn
#10 / #10 Ole Miss
#20 / #20 LSU
#27 - just 5 votes below #25 Utah / #30 Texas A&M

So 5 are in the Top 20 for sure, and the 6th is in the Top 30

So, given your position, I'd expect you to project 1 to 2 losses by the SEC west in their bowl games. Correct?

TCU might win out but not Baylor. Baylor still has Oklahoma State and Kansas State. Kansas sate, in my opinion will beat Baylor and that will leave both Baylor and Kansas State with two losses.

Just trying to throw perspective into the answer. Has nothing to do with last year but since you interjected it into the argument why not put you in a corner with your answer.

There is nothing for me to gt over. Im not mad. We went to the SEC title game and finished 5th in the country. Not mad bro.

You probably need to stay on topic as you are way off with this whole response.

Talk about "dumb"

Wouldn't it be a legitimate point, though? I mean, it WAS LSU fans that were all up in arms when they didn't get enough respect before the season even started. Missouri and South Carolina BOTH had excellent teams last season, but nobody wanted to give them any credit.

Won't matter - the winner between Bama and MSU this weekend is winning out anyway.

Not sure where this is come from. Most LSU fans I know seemed to think they had them just about right. Don't even try to use some of the fricktards from the Tiger Rant as a metric to measure the fanbase as a whole.
