Both QBs looked decent during the scrimmage. There were a lot of tipped balls and dropped passes by the WRs yesterday. Yeah, Sims and Coker both had their share of mistakes - mainly forcing balls into places where they shouldn't have - but all of that is correctable. I have no doubt that whoever the QB is this year will end up doing a good job during the regular season.

It's the offensive line that is the true question mark. The DL was after the QBs all game long and the RBs could not run the football for shite.

Coker would actually tuck the ball and run with it when he got bull rushed but that doesn't show on his stats because as soon as he started to run with it the whistle would blow the play dead.

Coker is a good runner, to my surprise. Bama has had some guys out on the OL who will be back this week, our DL is much better this year, and the backup RB's got the bulk of the work yesterday. Sims has had 4 years practicing with the coaches, Coker has had 17 days. I expect both to play the 1st couple of games and Coker to win the starting job going into the meat of the schedule.

QB is definitely not a position of concern for me.

The opposition can't get here fast enough when they can take something, anything, and use it against Alabama. If you actually counted posts it would be embarrassing.

They know when something happens at Alabama, but not about their own team. They can tell you all about what happens at scrimmages and all about Alabama personnel, but seldom if ever post concerning their own. Anyone seen posts about any AU practices or scrimmages? Has Gus even held one?

And in this very string, the hypocrites bash anything praising Jake Coker. Not that they haven't called Leonard Fournette a superstar..or proclaimed Duke Williams better than any Bama receiver.

I have mentioned something about this earlier but I will go further with it. To myself and a lot of Bama fans, LSU and Auburn are stepping stones. Games during the year that are rivalries true, but just teams to get past to get to the goal of winning the National Title. Beating one or both of them in a year does not constitute a great season.

But to the Barners and the Swamp People, hell, to any of our opponents, beating Alabama IS the goal and they consider it a great year if they manage to do it, championships be damned. Bama is the measuring stick, period. Auburn chokes away the BCS game but you wouldn't think they even care.

It's GOOD to be the King.

So you don't value the SEC championship at all?

SEC Titles are great, absolutely. But if the roles were reversed between us and Aubie last year and we had lost to FSU, I would not consider it a great season. And I bet Saban would say the same thing.

Even if you were 3-9 (0-8) the year before?

I think saban considers LSU a "jumping stone" game.

He jumped into the arms of AJ like a smitten freshman cheerleader after the LSU game last year.

I could feel the "bear" frowning from above (or below if your'e an auburn fan).

And the very next day he isn't worried about LSU anymore. Neither am I. Another step taken to reach the goal.

For example Big Mouth Bob at Oklahoma will crow about that Sugar Bowl for ages. Nick Saban doesn't worry about past games .

Is that why bama played so poorly against MSU and then lost to Auburn and Oklahoma ?

He admitted the team wasn't the same after the LSU game. He said the same thing the year before after losing to A&M.

LSU is now just like the Super Bowl for saban..... just like OM and ARKY. Sad.

Alabama is not defined by who they beat. Bama is measured by how many championships they win. Auburn LSU and everyone else define themselves by how they play vs Alabama.

Sure it sucks to lose a big game like that. When Bama does, they did not reach their goals and the season can still be a good one, but not the success that was aimed for.

WHAT? a non lsu fan criticizing bama's schedule? that's got to be against some sort of law. everyone on the rant knows that lsu fans are scared of bama and florida and use the schedule excuse to hide it.

And that post is just flat out ignorant. Have you seen him play? Do we know who the starter is going to be? Tell us just what you are basing that on.
