This game was picked before last weeks game. I assure you they thought miss st would not be undefeated going into Athens or they would have took that one. But you know what happened..,

Wrong. LSU may have had issues but they are a well respected and known brand on this half of the country.

only Alabama games I care about are if my team is playing them or if they are playing a team with a realistic chance of winning.

...i.e. I'm watching my team lose or dickriding someone that can beat Bama.

As a watching fan, I'm glad we are on the 6pm broadcast. I don't really like the 230 time slot. Everyone talks about it being the prime one but ESPN is pretty damn up there.

As an attending fan, screw a 230 time slot. I go into the stands an hour early and my seats don't get shade until 3pm ish. Give me 6pm all day(night) long.

No. There is no such requirement. Vandy hasn't been the CBS Game of the Week in years.

Yeah...two years to be exact. Georgia @ Vandy in 2015 was the CBS game of the week. Also in 2013.

The smartest thing Tim Brando ever said was when he described the SEC on TV. He said fans outside the conference, from Iowa to California, only know Bama. If Bama isn't strong then they don't pay attention. I hate the Evil Empire too, but common sense tells me what moves the needle and generates the $

Brando is an idiot. So rethink your opinion of what he said. Tennessee is historically the SECs national team due to UT having to recruit nationally. UT isn't new the whole recent power 5 OoC scheduling trend.

Oh, UT is definitely a national name right now. Have you seen the embarrassing ways Butch has found to lose big games? ESPN likes to show them over and over...and over. Or what about the really stupid sound bites that go viral?

I really hope vandy puts up a good game and wins. in that case people will stay watching.

but the odds just aren't that good.

had a florida state fan in my office, he had just moved here - he agreed that everyone is tired of Alabama winning. no one wants to watch them play unless it's an opponent that can beat them.

Love derrick mason -he's doing a great job. wish them the best.

Sounds like you need to go to a pee-wee league game then.

Maybe you should go back to writing furious tweets and e-mails to your AD, so you can find a coach who can consistently beat us again.

Tennessee hasn't been relevant in almost two decades. They are a national punchline right now and that's about the extent of their brand at the moment.

Are you people stupid, and not understanding what "historically" means?? Nothing to do with the current state of the program. UT is the program that kept the sec on the national radar when cfb wasn't on 10 channels on saturdays.

Most UT games today still pull more national interest. The current state of things at UT doesnt mean anything. If dooley, and jones have done anything they have made most UT games interesting to the end. Dooley lost, and jones mostly pulled them out.

NOBODY outside of the bama fan base cares to watch their games to the end as they put it away to early. It's not entertaining tv watching when there are other games to watch. Get out of your bubble.
