Bama has a rabid fanbase and a great brand.
Similar to 10 other schools.
Like Ohio State and Nebraska and USC and Penn State, you have a State, a region, where your colors are flying and football goes 365 days a year.
But it's just NOT Notre Dame.
There is only ONE truly "National" program.
I assumed that was self-evident.
I thought the NBC contract and the Independent status and the constant chatter even when they were 5-6 would tip you guys off.
There is just a total lack of self-awareness on the part of you Homer Tiders.
It's not an insult, it's just fact.
But okay, you can pretend that it is all you want.
I apologize profusely for bringing reality to your attention.
I shall not burst your bubble again.

Fanbases

1. Alabama Roll Tiders
2.Green Bay Packers*
3.Yankees

*Denotes team's placement on the list because people can invest in the team so they later retire.

How many points will Notre Dame get during the game for being the "NATIONAL" & "WORLD WIDE" powerhouse? I'm serious. Yeah there are 1,000,000 more Notre Dame starter jackets in the inner cities. Urban latin youth wear that shite with pride. No doubt. But, is that bullshite going to help ND stop Bama from running the football down their throat all night? I doubt it. Yes, Notre Dame is more famous than Alabama. However, Alabama is a better football team. The Tide's going to whip Notre Dame's arse in Miami. That's just the way it is.

AGREE!!!

You know how everyone knows ND is really the only National Brand. Because they are the only school in America with their own Network Deal (NBC). And don't bring up Texas network, because that's UT building their own cable channel. I'm talking about Network , you know one of the big 4, the ones you can get over the air, the worldwide known ones. Everyone complains about the NBC deal except ND and NBC, since they keep upping it , I guess it's working. Know why? Cause ND is the only National Brand. Period!

Also as having Alumni chapters and bars to hang out in other cities , all the major colleges have that , not just UA. That does not make you a national power. Go ask FOX to only show your games , they would laugh at you. Your a regional fan base, that has a lot of front running fans today because your the best team today. Remember how many fans there were of the U and FSU in the 90s. That didn't make them national then and doesn't make you national now! Go back to the early 2000s when y'all sucked. You were not getting the 3pm game. ND gets their games shown when they want no matter the record. That means National.

Exactly. Alabama certainly isn't as national a program as Notre Dame but it IS a national program. I remember seeing a feature on a large group of Alabama fans from Bridgeport, Pennsylvania. None of the several dozen members had any connection to Alabama whatsoever. They would pick 1 or 2 home games each year and charter buses for the trip(s). These people had absolutely no reason to be Alabama fans (this was in the late 80s/very early 90s) but they were big Bama fans nonetheless.

I also saw/met Bama fans in the most random places when I lived and traveled out West. I remember getting a roll tide from a guy in Rock Springs, Wyoming of all places. The guy was a local with no connection to Alabama but was a Bama fan nonetheless. Those are the kinds of things you see about "national" programs particularly the large Pennsylvania group.

Alabama is a national brand, really isn't debatable.

Yes, I guess Alabama is a national brand if Mississippi and Alabama have their own country.

Maybe Alabama and Mississippi should secede from the US and form their own country. They can call it the U.S.S.R. (United States of Southern Rednecks)

All of college football agrees that ND is a National Brand , whether they like them, hate them, are jealous of them, or indifferent to them.

1/14th of the SEC thinks Bama is a national brand and the rest of college football could care less , that's the difference.
