I really doubt this guy can dunk. Plus he's torn his ACL twice I think. His hops probably just aren't there

All it takes is one season to impress NFL scouts. Mitchell has a chance to win the starting job for '11, and if he doesn't there's always a chance for injury, and he's a year behind Wilson anyway.

Even when Wilson graduates he will have tough competition to overcome in Walker and Allen, but he will have seniority and is the most gifted athlete. Think of the Nevada pistol + Petrino's power-spread with both playbooks completely open since Mitchell has a strong arm and by that time should be above average in accuracy and since he has the speed and build to run the ball a lot.

I've seen him described as a QB first and running threat/gifted athlete second, and I think that's true from what I've seen of him so far in spring ball and mopup duty earlier this season.

That run Mitchell had for the TD in the spring game last year out of the pistol was a thing of beauty.

I don't need my QB to dunk. I need him to read defenses and throw TD passes.

I still don't believe Cody could dunk.

FWIW, there is a very big difference from grabbing the rim and dunking a basketball.

I'd guess that three of our four qbs can dunk. I'd guess Favre can't, but you never know.

Who cares if a QB can dunk? I'm a 6'4" white guy and could dunk in HS. It's not that big of a deal.
