Greater than essentially single handedly issuing in an era of scholarships for black players in the south?

Probably not.

You suck.

Do you understand the shite that they had to endure on road trips in the Deep South of the SEC? Those statues are deserving of being placed in front of the football facility. And to answer your question, I am calling out some of your shitty takes on this site...learn what the SEC recruiting boardis...your poli board topic sucks...and now this turd.

They were going to make one of Jared Lorenzen but it would have cost too much in materials.

Kentucky isn't the first SEC team to desegregate. Mizzou had black players in the 50s.

Mizzoiri is not an SEC school
You are only here because Mike Alive is the worst commissioner in the history of college football and had to break the bad contract he got us into.

They were the first to do so in the SEC. A little bit more significant than playing players up North.

While I kind of agree with you.
People are stupid as frick. If you question anything about things like this they automatically attach racism to you and all thought is out of the window. Just leave it alone bruh.

You are absolutely correct. The media has brainwashed people into having a conniption fit over any racial issue. They weren't treated nearly the way people on here proclaim as many people went out of their way to make them feel welcome. The media would have you think it was like they had to run through a gauntlet every time they went outside and drum up some old George Wallace videos. I don't have a problem if Kentucky wants to put up statues as there are less deserving people who have had statues made after them, it is the people who think this guy is racist because of his opinion that crack me up.

But people yelled out the the n-word at them though...??? :/

I do wonder what black activists will do when the white guilt that baby boomers have dies out.

Seriously. Greg Page died from a neck injury in practice and was roommates with Nate Northington. He died 38 days later after laying paralyzed in a hospital bed from that injury, just before they were to play against Ole Miss and officially integrate. Nate Northington went ahead and played in homage to his teammate just a day after he died.

But totally "not a big deal"...
