Jesus. We already covered this. Alabama before Saban was still the greatest college football program ever. We've just extended our lead now to leave no doubt.

Because the second tier guys were all head coaches at teams before this season.
Coach O was a position coach before this season. He was more like sixth tier to any other program.

Nobody is talking about the elephant in the room. LSU fans have unrealistic expectations plus you have to deal with Saban every year. It's a thankless job. It's no surprise none of the top coaches wanted anything to do with it.

LSU was dog shite before Saban got there and he turned it in to a power house. Miles kept it going for the most part, he was able to backdoor his way into a championship with Sabans players but than just wasted talent.
LSU is too far removed from Saban now to keep up the talent and they will return to a bottom feeder.
LSU isn't a top 10 job and this coaching hire proves it.

Bama pre Saban was on severe sanctions.LSU was not.
Bama also has a legacy that LSU doesn't. Deny all want but it is not the same. There WAS football played before 2000.
I don't hate LSU. I hate LSU fans that think the program is considered to be in the same class as Alabama. LSU is almost identical to auburn in terms of ceiling.
Bama has no ceiling.

Have I gotten into a time travel car and returned to 2002? Texas isn't what it was in the 90s-early 00s either due to the bullshite that happens behind the scenes.
