Without a doubt. The young guys on D will improve. They kept it marginally close until the second half, and a few plays could have made it far closer (onside kick for instance.)

Scar is not as bad as their first game indicated, and we are not as good as some are now saying... Typical of talking heads in the media though.

Watch South Carolina come back and make noise in the east. A&M was just clicking on all cylinders that night and I'm not sure who would have beat them.

I can see them being 8-4, 9-3 possibly. Spurrier didn't take us seriously and after getting bitchslapped, I don't think he will let his his guard down, rest of the year.

Yes, they can bounce back. It was one game. I suspect hey will show how good they can be against us. One indicaor will be this weeks game, too. If they dominate (and I suspect they will) you can expect a good year from them. And this takes NOTHING away from A&M. This COULD be the year they break through in the SEC.

but to lose at home like they did was a shocker.

Yep. It was.

Arkansas was blasted in their opening game in 2006 and bounced back to win the West. But that was a non-conference game.

why not? they usually shite the bed once a year, but then they bounce back. auburn '11 & tennessee '13 immediately come to mind....

If they can turn it around and beat UGA then of course. IF the game was at Athens I wouldn't think that would be possible but they always have a shot in WB.

If you asked me to predict I would say they lose to UGA and @Aub for sure. Then probably lose 1 more out of Missouri, @UF, UT, or @Clemson.

They also need to look out for their road trip to Lexington. Average SEC East teams going on the road there will be in a fight.

8-4 is most likely IMO.

sure they can

the majority of UGA fans are very anxious about the SC game.

If we beat them, we'll relax until we play Tenn...

Yep...UGA lost to USCe by 28 back in 2012, won the East, and came within 5 yards of an SEC championship/potential BCS championship. While it can be done, with their schedule, I don't think it likely...but we'll know a lot more the following Saturday...

That's pretty much the bottom line. We have to win these next two.

I'm not optimistic about beating UGA unless we show a marked improvement tackling and pass rushing against ECU.

i do know spurrier and ward were embarrassed at the glaring lack of preparation of the defense especially. lets see what the team looks like this weekend against a similar offensive scheme. and no atm guy, not similar in talent, don't start yappin.

I don't know about that. Even without Manziel A&M was still ranked and everyone knows they had raw talent at the very least.

With that said A&M greatest strength was perfect against our greatest weakness.

Perhaps if we had played ECU first, a team that likes to pass a lot, would get a lot of yards on our boys, but not nearly the talent of A&M. I'd like to think we'd be better prepared and at least take a TD or 2 off the board for A&M. But we'll see.

Of course they CAN, they're only 1 game out.

With that said, if they lose next weekend they're done, as they will basically be 3 games behind UGA.

I don't think so, I think confidence is low. ECU is no walk over either, I see them struggling to win that game and going into UGA with no confidence. Not hating either I tend to root for the cocks.
