Can someone explain the Kiffin/Lebby beef?

I had no idea these two had bad blood. I knew that Lebby had left Ole Miss, but he is an Oklahoma alumni, so I assumed that was his motivation for leaving before.

However, I have heard stories that they do not get along, and with Kiffin taking shots on him on Twitter it seems like they may be legit.

Is there something there?

I think Lane was just being Lane, trolling coaches on twitter like he always does (Saban, Kirby, Kelly, Freeze, etc) in a goofy, jokey way. Pretty sure it wasn't malicious.

Kiffin fired the OL coach mid-season when Lebby was at OM and the OL coach and Lebby are good friends. Kiffin admitted later he made a mistake firing him: I’m sure there is more that that, but that is a big reason.

Kiffin being mad at anyone for leaving for another job has got to be a joke, right?

Kiffin fired Randy Clements (O-Line) when they got into an argument over how Kiffin wanted a certain play blocked.

Possibly some resentment that Lane would never give more control of the offense to Lebby, so Lebby had to leave to run his own show. But I haven't heard anything for certain.

Multiple issues.

Lebby wanted 100% control of OM offense and staff and who was recruited. LK denied that, firing his buddy mid year. Lebby was frustrated the offensive success was credited to LK.
Lebbys wife is a big bitch. Raised hell the university did not provide childcare for her bad arse kids on gameday. Constantly bitching about it to anybody and everybody that would listen.

Lebby stayed for the sugarbowl even though he accepted the OK job. He did no prep work, and rumor had it was recruiting OM targets to OK while still being on the OM staff.

Add all that with LK being an odd mfer.

Lebby felt he did most of the weekly prep and was aligning himself with boosters in Oxford for when Lane jumped to his next job.

He (Lebby)made it known that he was doing most of the work during the week and Lane didn't do much. To the point where boosters felt like they had to pick sides. (Lebby or Kiffin). Lane didn't appreciate the bad mouthing.

According to all accounts Lane has improved dramatically in game week prep since that time.

Kiff started at Ole Miss that strange Spring 2020 Covid offseason. Kiff was back and forth at Oxford and Boca a lot and maybe not all in yet. It was a weird arse off-season with Covid so I get it.

Lebby was left to do a lot of the work with Kiffin all over the place. Lebby was sure to tell everyone how much weight Lebby was pulling. I think there was some resentment there.

Didn’t happen mid season but that’s part of it. Also in 2020 (Covid) and leading up to 2021 kiffin was spending a lot of time in Boca while rest of staff was in oxford. Lebby supposedly ran alot of the day to day and made sure to let it be known to many. That’s why there was a lot of talk amongst the OM fanbase of Lebby succeeding Kiffin if he were to leave.

Libby has now been directly tied to covering up sexual assault. That is the only thing in Libby’s past worth discussing.

Heard that. Did you protest when he was working at Ole Miss?

This is pretty similar to how Lane left Bama if my memory serves me correctly...

Same as us protesting Hugh Freeze while he was here. Protesting after he walked out the door

Except Nick messed up and didn't let him coach in the championship game. The playoff game Kiff coached in was a win.

Little different in, being the face of the organization vs being on staff.

So new evidence came out between 2021 and 2023?
