Aaron Murray is the Tony Romo of college football. Take that how you will.

I get that, my only point is I don't see him winning the big one on any level.

Gotta say...Florida was a pretty big win last season. They were #3 in the AP when Georgia beat them, and they finished the season 7-1 in the SEC...so, beating them won the division for Georgia.

Quick question, what type of game do you expect Aaron Murray to win to knock this stigma?

Doesn't really matter. People like you see what they want to see. If he beats #9 Clemson then the rebuttal will indubitably be-"Well, its Clemson, they suck anyway". If he beats UF-"The team beat UF with turnovers". If Bama-"Bama killed themselves, Murray didn't do anything".

Most posters on this board just don't like him, so they find a way to discredit everything he does correctly.

I really have no reason to dislike him. He just doesn't have the ability to get over the hump.

He's the real deal. He was one tipped pass away from being immortalized.

Fair enough, although we might have two different opinions on what that statement entails.

I don't see Aaron Murray as a championship winning QB.

I don't see Aaron Murray as a BCS bowl game winning QB.

He beat more Top 25 teams in '12 (Vandy#20, Nebraska#23 & Fla.#10) than MSU has since 2002 (2 games, UF#25 in '04 & Aub.#14 in '07)... It's not always the QB's fault, MSU has had a coupla good QB's since '02 but look at the facts.

MSU would kill for a QB like AM....

Enlighten me on all the career records tony romo has?

I get the Romo doesn't win big games thing, but Murray's numbers are pretty damn impressive in a way that makes the romo comparison pretty inaccurate.

I fail to see how that is relevant to the topic at all. Feel free to make a new thread if you must.

I remember another QB they said this about. He turned out to be a half-way decent QB and actually made an NFL roster.

I was about to post that. Though I was going to refer to him as a 3x Citrus Bowl MVP.

You said he would never win the big one at any level.
