Can Florida pull what Auburn did from 2012 to 2013, this year?

No team will ever have that much luck again. What happened in the UGA and Bama games was simply once in a lifetime type luck. I actually think the odds are better to be the lone winner of the powerball.

Even if you want get technical, no, they still can't. Auburn went 0-8 in conference that year. As bad as UF was last year they still weren't that bad.

We ditched our Chizik, the question is if McElwain is a Malzahn level guy, pro style and even modified spread elements pro style guys like McElwain generally don't turn things around as fast as spread option guys-- and Malzahn was familar with all of the talent on hand.
Now, it wouldn't shock me if we make it to Atlanta and/or contend for a title in 2016 or 2017-- that's a turnaround more in line with Meyer, Saban, etc.

glad he's not making HCing decisions then. He was a good coach in 2006/2007. All we are wanting is a defense that can make some stops.

Almost as lucky as team that loses two home games in November and still makes it to the BCSCG. One year they didn't even win their division.

sure, It's doable, but not likely.
4 things.. Talent, Coaching, Schedule, Luck.
Auburn was slightly ahead on talent (national ranking of 8 for the last 3 classes going into 2013 compared to 9.33 for Florida)
Coaching nod goes to Auburn.
Schedule is about even.
Luck is yet to be determined, but Auburn had some pretty big bounces go their way.
Either way, Florida should be improved.
