No Harris doesn't.. Harris just needs to hold the ball for Etling during warm ups. That's the extent of what his contribution needs to be

I would rather have Tug Job at QB then some scrub that couldn't even start at Purdue

BRANDON HARRIS BEAT HIM OUT.
All you need to know.
He did? Because last time I checked etling sat out last season due to transfer rules and took all of one game and a quarter to take the job from Harris and keep it

Mett had a huge arm but I don't remember him going through his reads particularly well.
For 95% of his passes it was literally throw to Beckham or Landry.
The one game that really hurt him was the '13 Ole Miss game where he kept forcing throws to Beckham in double coverage.

In the time it took me to read the thread title, Allen or Anderson or Williams have put Etling on the ground. So no, no time to go through his progressions.

The only thing he's excelled at since being at LSU are 20+ yard passes.
He actually does lock in on a WR, can't hit short throws and can't throw a receiver open.
Field vision is poor, so even on open mid-range throws, he often would leave the WE or TE out to dry and get lit up by the safety.
His arm talent isn't worth all the insufficiencies.
Etling does everything else well. His deep ball is below-average but he's better than Harris in every other area of the game.
Also, Etling is able to step up into the pocket instead of dropping right into the DE's path. He still gets sacked, but at least now either our OL gets legit beat or the DL has to earn it. No more cheap sacks due to poor pocket awareness.
Bravo!
Most accurate comparison of BH to DE Ive seen yet, especially the last paragraph.

OP tries to prove QB doesn't go through progressions.
Links video of said QB going through progressions.

He went to his second progression once.

:26 mark
:34 mark
1:56 mark
5:10 mark (Palmer even mentions it in the replay)
5:30 mark
5:52 mark
about 5 other plays were designed quick outs. Most of the other plays the first receiver was open.
Thanks for demonstrating to the board your lack of football knowledge

You literally didn't watch the video if you think this is true.

:26 mark was a designed play, that was a fake to booger and a screen to the other side of the field
:34 mark also designed and thrown to primary receiver.
1:56 mark is a maybe. His head did move very slightly to the left.
5:10 he does go through to his second progression after coming of the fullback in the flat.
Great work by Etling.
5:30 comes off his first option to throw incomplete to his second progression. Great work by Etling again.
5:52 Etling looks at his first read and immediately checks it down to booger about 4 yards away. Etling doing work.
So we got 3 pass plays where he makes it to his second read one of which was a check down to his RB.
Sorry about your hero getting shite canned Choc. You have Beedense to console you though.

But there were still some throws in that tape that were ill advised and were only made because he was stuck on one receiver.
You can watch game film of any QB, pro or college, and say the same thing. This a little different than what was in the OP.
So what's your point?

Root for a team that won an ugly game with 6 field goals, and a called back GW TD

this is true of about 80% of all D1 qbs...in fact most qb's have an intended wr pre snap and throw it to them most of the time. He ahs shown he can check the ball down....against bama most qb's don't have time to go through their progressions

Your reading is coming along. Soon you will be at a 2nd grade reading level. Your mother and her cousins must be very proud.
