The real stats:

Alabama #27 rushing offense with 208.8 ypg vs. Auburn #57 rushing defense with 155.6 ypg allowed.

And

Auburn #3 rushing offense with 320 ypg vs. Alabama #5 rushing defense with 95.3 ypg allowed.

As well as Auburn's #108 ranked passing offense versus Alabama's #11 ranked passing defense

Alabama's #57 passing offense versus Auburn's #82 passing defense.

Essentially Auburn is outclassed in the passing department both on offense and defense, is going to have problems stopping Alabama's successful rushing attack, and is going to rely on their only strength (rushing) against Alabama which stops the run better than most in the country.

Yep and another thing about Malzahn's offense is if you stack the box against him he can spread you out with outside runs or simple passes like the bubble screen. We finally have big strong WRs that can block which helps out a lot too.

Hey! Current stats!

Marshall will surprise some people when he's forced to throw. He has improved (dumb UT screen pass aside). Being at AU makes me comfortable with his ability to pass.

I'm glad you're worried. You should be.

Auburn's #108 ranked passing offense

This stat is misleading considering we rarely have to attempt a forward pass.

I say misleading beacuse when we do pass, our pass efficiency rating is actually pretty high (top 30 nationally before UT, not sure now) and I believe we are top 15 in the nation in yards per pass.

So what you're saying is you'll turn into a poor man's LSU on passing against Alabama?
