wtf are you talking about. the whole premise in the OP is talking about how great your dline has graded out against the run.

And how every poster in here has basically said we need to keep Bama from rushing the ball a bunch

It's just how one (two including a DT coming off the bench) player has graded out against the run but let's not let facts ruin a good story.

Even though our defense appears terrible we've only been giving up 3 scoring drives vs power 5 teams each game.

Last I checked this isn't fantasy football where you get extra points for breaking 200 yards rushing

Actually, it's two tricks. He's stellar in both the pass rush and outside runs. It's pretty rare to see him get beaten to the edge.

of the aggies in this thread are talking about how it will be difficult to control bamas run game

Eh. I didn't see it like that, but I could be wrong.

dont want to sound overly confident but Bama just might not run the ball against Aggies.

I think that's the key.

In my view, Coker gets rattled too easily when things aren't going well. And I think A&M can get to him with the pass rush and timely blitzes (although, Coker does have decent mobility to escape pressure).

Alabama can offset the A&M pressure with a good running game, but if the ground game is slowed, the onus will be on Coker to make plays, and keep pace with the Aggie Offense. That's a scenario that I think sets up well for Texas A&M.

Doesn't matter. I've been told time and time again that myles Garrett is just overrated. No way he has a good game

That's not true. There are always a few idiots in each fan base who will say that sort of nonsense. Most fans of other SEC teams realize that he is a great player. You are probably over sensitive and you over-react to each criticism. That fact is that Myles was weak against the run last year and posted most of his pass rush stats against crappy teams.

LSU has a guy just like him this year. Arden Key is a skinny freshman with great strength and pass rushing ability for a freshman. He'll get better, and I'm convinced Key will be a great one. If he turns out to be as good as Garrett I'll be happy.

Mainly, I just wanted to use the term "DoucheAg".

You mean the facts of amount of yards your DL has given up each game. Your teams run stopping ability does not scare me one bit. Especially considering your rushing defense is ranked 12th in the conference.

Where I have concern is your ability to pass rush on us. Not that your numbers there are great either(5th in the SEC), and you have not really played any great OL, but our OL is not great either and seem to have a weakness for explosive players off the DL. Myles and Mack worry me a lot disrupting the pocket.

The biggest weakness I see on the aggie D is the over aggressiveness which got UGA to bite early on plays allowing us to get up the field easily.

Again our OL vs your DL I believe is where the game will be one.

This^^ and Sumlin may want to refrain from going after him. Big Bert outweighs Cam so I can understand him but Sumlin might get carted off.

It's really simple. A&M will get credit for being able to stop the run when they prove it on the field against a power running team.

Right. If A&M isn't clicking on offense, this discussion is very likely inconsequential.

Alabama's offensive line has been very inconsistent this year. They can look dominant and then awful from play to play. Best oline play by far has been away from home (Wisconsin and Georgia) for some strange reason.

Definitely worried about pass protection holding up Saturday. Alabama has to stay out of 3rd and long, pass more on 1st down than 3rd down, etc. Still not convinced A&M will stop Alabama's running game if Alabama will commit to it.

Completely agree! Nick Saban has to keep Kiffin under control..........he gets way to pass happy and ignores the fact that he has Derrick Henry in the back field......

both are a tad overrated, with cam being more

myles garret is a great pass rusher but an avg / below avg run blocker, he shoots up the field and creates running lines literally every play. and while he's fast you can push him around a little.

Aggies run defense just is not good.
