Will he have a better or worse pro career than Vince Young? I could flip a coin on this, but not having seen the pro product, I think you have to bet on Cam as he doesn't throw sissy shot put style.

We were talking College football not NFL. We really haven't seen much of Tim in the NFL and Cam hasn't even played. I am judging based on performance not potential. Nice try

All Tebow really did as a freshman was run. Cam could've done that and could have been more successful. Sorry, but there's a lot more saying Cam up in here.

I kind of hope he sits this year because of the short time the panthers will have with him during real practices.

The only thing cam had on Tim was yards rushing and he had 1 more game than Tim.

Tim had one less game and one less National Championship when comparing his 2007 season to Cam's 2010 season. Florida didn't win the BCS that year, LSU did.

Only fair comparison would be 2008 Tebow to 2010 Cam if you want to compare championship seasons.

Just being fair.

Stats don't mean as much if you didn't get the ship to go with them.

I think Barry Sanders had the greatest season of all time. His record will never be touched in my opinion.

His rushing yard record was almost matched by Kevin Smith a few years ago...

Not if you count Barry's 222 yards in the Holiday Bowl. Barry had more yards in 12 games than Smith in 14 games. With the Holiday Bowl he had 300 more in 1 less game.

You get drafted based on what you do in college. Tebow was only a first rounder because Josh McKid was an idiot. I would know.

I don't care what others have to say, I know what I know and what I saw. I even brought in an unbiased link proving stat wise Tebow 2007 was better than Newton 2010.

I'll give you Cam is a better athlete than Tim, but as a player and a leader not even close.

Very good player.

On his level based on college, imo:

Tim Tebow
Herschel Walker
Bo Jackson
Neon Dion
Michael Vick
Vince Young
Tommie Frazier
Barry Sanders
Derrick Thomas
Warren Sapp

just to name a few.

Cam easily>>>>>>>>>>>> VY,awful comparison....

Disagree. VY was amazing his last year and didn't get to pound JUCO till he was a Junior. They're both amazing in college.

If you're saying Tebow is better than Cam, then you don't know and didnt see much.

Cam was also the better player, without a doubt. Like TT13 said, I'd also take Cam as a leader.

Why do people only mention skill position players in these sorts of threads? It's just like the Heisman. No one has the sense to gauge a player's value without a ton of stats.

Honestly, the best college football player ever is probably an OT like Orlando Pace or Jonathon Ogden. No one would ever try to make that argument though, because there aren't any stats like TDs, completion %, YPC, and total yards to back it up.
