If players are fouling out on the reg, players and coaches will adjust their defensive tactics.

yea but it would be a brutal few years to adjust. plus the refs call too many tick tack fouls and they shouldn't be bailing offensive players out when they do stupid shite. lower the shot clock and call more legit fouls.

eta: also take away two timeouts. no need for 6 timeouts per team and all the stupid ref breaks as well

And Cal brought up how it took the NBA 3 years to adjust.

It desperately needs to happen. Teach these kids how to play defense without fouling and you will see a better product.

They tried to work on it last year and the refs bailed on it once conference play started.

The CBB product is falling apart and Cal is 100% correct on this.

he isn't a 100 percent correct though, just calling fouls to call fouls would be silly. The refs bail out far too many offenses with shite calls for jumping into the defender. The foul number is probably right, the issue is they miss obvious calls on the d that hinder an offense but it balances out because they end up bailing the offense out later. If they start to call any touch foul then you have to stop calling fouls when a offensive player jumps into someone.

Also just because the game is more physical than the nba doesn't make it worse. The amount of teams, plus the longer shot clock cause bigger problems than letting a team play rough. Plus UK has a huge advantage with the rough play, they have physical kids that can get away with murder.
