This is what I'm saying. Do you remember being 20 years old? I was a little shithead who knew absolutely nothing. These players are old enough to go to war, sure. But they look up to their coaches. They crave leadership. This is where our coaches are either putting too much pressure on this game or not doing their part. I think the bye week is great physically but mentally, it's hurting us. Just my opinion.

After the UT game last year it was needed more than I ever saw. It was the most physical game I'd seen in a few years. Hurd was getting yards but my goodness did we pound on him. Same with Henry. Both were willing themselves through that game as were both fronts who were playing to a standoff. We had one more drop in the tank but After the game was over both teams were gassed. May have been the slowest meeting at midfield I ever saw. Emotions were spent too as nobody sat during that game and the players play that game on emotion. I'm not sure had we turned around around and played anybody the next week how effective we would have been.

I think it is more of the latter. I don't think the pressure has anything to do with it. Those kids came to play in big games like that.

It's coaching, plain and simple. These studs come to Bama/LSU to play in brutal match-up games that get a ton of media attention and exposure. I have never thought Les or Nick put too much pressure on the players for this game....the coaches have to carry the heavy load and work overtime preparing and let the players freaking play.

I think it will be better for us this year when we against UT. I could definitely tell we were spent when we played them, but last year we had the hardest schedule in the country and went through some tough opponents. This years schedule favors us better.

I agree, by our last few years results I believe we would do better taking the week after Bama not before. Lord knows the gameplans we tried the last few years don't need 2 weeks to put in

Why do we continue to do this? It's clearly not working. Why not change it up a bit? Stop putting so much pressure on these kids and emphasis on this game. Let's just try to instill in these kids that Bama is just another game. Maybe that'll work. K thx bye

Could you imagine what LF7 would have looked like after the game had he not had the week off before? Holy shite.

I agree that the week before Tennessee would be ideal. It's slightly over the halfway mark of the season. Plus, we looked like the walking dead out there for most of the game this past year. As dead-legged as I've seen a Bama team in the last few years.

Thanks Bama. You clearly benefit from the physicality of LSU/Bama then turning around and playing Arkansas the next week.
