Apples to oranges. Bama went and got the best coach in the country to come back. UT is resorting to throwing away tradition to look like an arena football team, which will piss off 85% of the fanbase.

In just saying. Winning under Petrino didn't stop our fanbase from getting out our torches and pitchforks over the uniforms. It won't stop UT's fans either, and they haven't even started winning yet.

How many combinations can you get out of dull orange and white (and I guess black since they have already started using it). Oregon has two bright primary colors in green and yellow, then they use white, varying shades of grey and chrome and you have some good combinations. But there is only so much you can do with dull orange and white.

But those are still dull colors. They can't match Oregon's neon greens and yellows. Tennessee's lone "color" in dull arse orange.

Oregon can pull it off because let's face it, that's their identity to a certain extent. Any other major programs trying to pull it off is just

If the players are for it then I personally don't care. I think this is more of a recruiting ploy than anything. Highly doubt we change our uniforms much, but I'm fine if we spice it up a little. Then again, I'm 24 and I am not set in my ways yet as some of the older TN fans are. The Oregon comparison is strictly in reference to uniforms and general Nike affiliation. Anyone who takes that as UT wanting to become Oregon the football team is fooling themselves

I kinda shook my head when I read this, "So this is where we are at.". But times change, kids change. Maybe it will help with recruiting. Hopefully the NCAA will draw a line at Christmas lights and laser tag uni's though.
