But if we realize that we can't compete for championships under Butch, we'll get rid of him instead of spending 15 years rationalizing like yall have with Richt.

At what point does Tennessee realize they no longer can compete for championships as a program and realize how lucky they would be to have a level of success like UGA has under Richt?

What's beilema's excuse for finishing sixth with a senior QB?

Eta: I already know what it is... injuries... like the rest of the league doesn't have to deal with them.

Dan Mullen won 9 games in his second season........at Mississippi State.

Dan came into a much worse situation than Butch too.

Coaches get 3-4 years tops to do it. He's living in a fantasy land if he thinks he can get a pass for 6-7 bad years.

It does not take that long to build a competitive top shelf SEC program.

Especially in the east this year with USC & UGA having disastrous seasons, and UF with a first year HC. Tennessee should have been a much threat in the east THIS YEAR.

Go back to August and bump all the threads about how Tennessee was going to compete for the east THIS year...

But wait, there is always NEXT year.

Because Tennessee is still capable of competing for championships.

The drum beating and chest pumping started after 2014 season when UT went to a fricking bowl game Weeeeeeeee! They also showed how awesome they were by beating those three SEC powerhouses last year...Vandy, UK and USC. Wow...3-5 SEC wins (which they werent used to).

Then came this past summer when the board was over runned by hillbilly, stump jumping, single wide living, cousin porking toothless, corn mash drinking wide eyed misfits. I was besides myself having to see the Rant kitchen filled by cockroaches.

Lo and behold just a week or so before the season started and Butchy parachuted to safety with these statements" we are not closeto where we need to be yet" and "this is a process" and the brick by brick crap....the team had to have thoughts like WTF? It affected them...their HC didnt have confidence. Then later...another brilliant move by Butchy "we are the youngest team in the country crap".

How freaking long does he think has to rebuild? He has recruited a lot of talent and where are they? Its a joke.
He is in over his head...this aint Cincy pal. Butchy is in his third year and we fired Zook in his third year when that team went 8-5. Thats the difference between a school that wont accept less and the Smokey Mountain School for Dentally Impaired.

Well, looks like we have a good chance of finishing second in the East, which is where we were expected to finish. But by all means, continue being a dumbass.
