Every forum is a biodome of fans that all share the same mindset about their team. They agree on everything and reject realities about the flaws in their program. That's why this site is fun, people who are blind homers get ripped to shreds.
Every fanbase's forums are pretty much made up of a bunch of old cheeseball homers, idk why you're insisting TN boards are any more crazy than anyone else's.
To be honest, Jones hasn't really proven much to me on gameday yet but let's look at it, he's working with a lot of underdeveloped, mediocre athletes that haven't seen any form of stability scheme-wise or staff-wise in years. Yeah Doolz beat Jones but DD had at least 4 NFL players on that offense, the talent level is worse now.
The positives are no coaching turnover, not as much controversy in the offseason, and Jones is recruiting really well to be dealing with such an irrelevant program in the last 6 or 7 years.
I know you're here to get a rise but I think it's rational to be optimistic about the athletes he's bringing in and to wait until he upgrades the roster before we call the guy a failure. This stuff doesn't happen overnight, especially for a program that's been as tumultuous as Tennessee's.
