You too? (disclaimer: I'm joking for anyone who doesn't quite realize it).

In all seriousness, from what I've seen you're a good 'en. Ya rep' BAMA nation well with all that logic, rational thought, and stuff.

ETA: Any way we can draft you?

I am a grinder fan. The photo is a joke because he is one of the biggest gumps on the planet. If you can read the text below the image it says "bama fan first, duke basketball close second"

I remember thinking how gay it was when you Gamedicks did a first down chant in Columbia last year. Couple that gayness with the gayness of Sandstorm and the gayness of those white towels of surrender that you people wave, it's like fricking Gayness inception at Williams Brice.

Maybe they could have the announcer say "thats another Tennessee Volunteer...." and the crowd chants in unison "FIRST DOWN!!". Thats pretty original I think

The one they do at Troy games is similar.

"And that brings up another Trojan...."

FIRST DOWN!

Gets pretty old.

"First Down"

My bad. You had the bammer fan tag too so I just assumed you were the exception that proved the rule. I mean there's gotta be one, right, right?????

So as not to add to compound my confusion - you mean State, right? Y'all have been fairly quiet lately.

Ole Miss invented this, despite what Arkansas will claim.

I've never heard any Arkansas fan claim that we invented the first down chant. I would also bet that Ole Miss didn't either.

Yes, MSU.

Basketball and baseball have not been very good to us. Although getting Howland has been nice.

So what are we doing here? Couldn't the crowd just fill in the blank and say the "Tennesseeeeeee" part?

Yes we did invent it. We also invented "we just beat the hell out of you" chants, centralized tailgating, player walk-through a before games, throwing alcohol in the air, and playing "sweet Caroline" after the 5th inning.

The first time (in '12) I heard "FIRST DOWN! OLLLLLLLLE MISS" it weirded me out a bit.

Probably the most annoying of the away announcers I've heard. The dude at Georgia in 2010 was pretty bad too.

So you're scared of dicks, chants, Sandstorm and towels.

tFear is real with you I see.

So SC as a chant, and now you and your coach want one too. Are y'all committed to that or just ChantCurious?

Butch was a band nerd for a while but also a football player. Most importantly he was the Sheriff's son in a small town. IOW, he wasn't allowed to get in trouble as his dad would know in a heartbeat. He was also forced to work summers (his home town was a tourist town and his parents let him know he would have to pay for his own college). He became obsessed with the Tampa Bay Bucs (they were an expansion team and totally dreadful when he started following them and he had to catch news articles and short radio reports when they weren't on tv.) Eventually, he knew folks that did the team laundry and landed a summer job with the Bucs. They were very impressed with Jones and not only promoted him from what was essentially water boy to someone with serious responsibilities but helped him land coaching gigs.

He also played college football at Ferris State before an injury cut his career short.

If it makes you feel any better we suck worse than you at baseball and our current basketball roster is a mess. That said, I think Howland is a fantastic hire for MSU. Both the Vols and State absolutely hit grand slams with those hires -- which is good since our baseball teams don't know what a home run is unless it's the opposing team doing it.

Gimne a rec for your board. If the rest of y'all are half as cool then I want in.
