AU won't fire him because we'll never do better but it's put up or shutup next year. NCAAT or bust.

There is no bar low enough for auburn basketball. Hiring Pearl was proof of that.

Somewhat, but you've never even made it to a final four.

Four times as many SEC regular season championships and five times as many SEC tournament championships as Auburn. If that qualifies as only "somewhat" of a nice history, then Auburn's history must be downright abysmal.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned Florida's relatively recent success.

After saying everyone else was irrelevant so not sure what you really mean then.

I guess if you are going more historic then you can't say anything about Arkansas being irrelevant. They have been recently but then Florida certainly hasn't been.

The qualified statement isn't that hard to comprehend.

So were you talking historically then? You think Arkansas has been irrelevant?

No, unless your idea of being relevant is a top 10 program.

I think AU is heading in the right direction. He's getting good talent and the fans, I think, still have faith that Coach Pearl can get them to the next level. It may not have come as quickly as probably most expected but they did sweep our butts and we are the mediocrity gate keepers.

Pearl has done fine with what he's had so far. As much as I hate to admit it, I was a little jealous when Auburn hired him. They will only continue to improve. Plus, I don't feel comfortable talking shite to anyone about B.B.......except maybe LSU.

The SEC is abysmal and always has been. Touting winning the regular season and/or tourny is a joke.

When you have to exclaim during your postgame interview that you're not on the hot seat, you're probably on the hot seat lol

If being 34th in all time wins (3rd in the SEC behind Kentucky and Arkansas) and tied for 27th all time in winning % is short bus material I'll take it.
So being the basketball equivalent of the Utah football program is good enough for you?

Glad to see one of yall finally getting some healthy perspective.

I doubt Alabama is ahead of Missouri and is probably neck and neck with Tennessee.

Rough guess total wins last 30 years

1. UK
2. UPig
3. Florida
4. Mizzou
5. Tennessee
6. Bama

Tennessee has been pretty good the last 20 years (I believe we average just over 20 Ws per year over the last 20) but my guess is the 10 years prior to the Jerry Green era knock Tennessee down substantially in a 30 year ranking.

Didn't do the math but I'm guessing Tennessee is 3rd or 4th in wins over the last 20 years and 6th or 7th or maybe even worse if you include the dreadful 87-96 time frame.

EDIT: 0 20 win seasons in that 87-96 era with a 5 win season thrown in for good measure.

In what context did Bruce make this statement?

He is the best thing that has happened today Auburn basketball in decades.
