Absolutely. That's the way it should be. I wouldn't trade any of our receivers for any receiver anywhere in the country. Your talent is only as good as your team's system allows them to be.

Auburn for instance...their fans like to say they have great receivers...and that may be true. But they clearly don't have anyone who can get them the ball reliably. If they did, they probably would have won the Arkansas game last year. If you listen to their fans, their QB was hitting their receivers in the hands all day long, but they couldn't catch a cold.

Based on all the evidence, I can only assume that their QB hitting their receivers in the hands is such a shock to them that they are taken by surprise and can't hold on to the ball. What good is it having a great receiver if he never catches the ball??

% of catches vrs drops. Yds per catch.

You can't catch a football that's not thrown at you.

Brett Favre can. He has caught balls he has thrown to other people.
For touchdowns.

No we don't this year we'll be playing two guys with very minimal experience and after that it'll likely be 4 freshman. 4 highly recruited freshman that could end up great... But nobody is lauding our WR group this year

It's because LSU doesn't have a QB on roster that doesn't suck donkey balls.

Yes you can if the pass gets deflected.

And why should LSU be on here? They only had 2 WRs with more than 200 receiving yards.

What does that have to do with ranking WR units?

LSU WRs aren't showcased in LSU's offense and the stats prove it. At least not enough to garner widespread national praise.

It's utilization, not physical talent.

How a team plays really does make a huge difference on how many yards any given receiver get. That is why the NFL doesn't just look at those stats. OM, for example threw the ball to a lot of different receivers. Some teams have go to targets most of the time.

You can't provide me with one link showing an Auburn fan saying this years group of WRs are great. I'm not arguing, I'm correcting you.

LSU logic, ladies and gentlemen.

Simply put, if you don't have a QB worth a shite, you aren't going to have wide receivers who put up numbers worthy of being considered elite.

Wide receivers aren't SOLELY measured on their ability to throw blocks for Fournette.

I do not think you have a lot of fans saying that.

If anything, we are hoping the young guys surprise people, but I expect the team will be pretty run heavy.

I haven't seen Auburn fans anywhere claiming their WR were good or should be ranked highly. They are basically all brand new.
