I keep seeing y'all say Bruce has total contol, and operates unsupervised, free to do whatever he wants. Is that a wise decision considering he just came off a 2 yr show cause? McGlynn insure has his thumb on the operations.

I don't say that because I don't know. But he's recruited a hell of a lot better than any AU coach I remember in Auburn.

I mean he got the show cause for lying more so than the infraction. It's not like it was some huge pay for play scandal. In fact, it's no longer illegal.

The ignorance by people on this site blows my mind. First, the program is what Bruce Pearl has made it to this point. Basketball Programs are built on the following:
1. Recruiting Area
2. Facilities
3. Quality of School
4. Conference Affiliation
5. Financial Support

Bruce Pearl has all the above at AU and then some. He has had some issues with injuries and player eligibility, but it is all on BP Back. Basketball is one program that doesn't have to have a strong tradition to be successful. Amazed how people try to think it is just like football.

Recruiting is not a problem at AU under Pearl. McGlynn hasn't had to put his thumb on Pearl or is there anyone getting in BPs way. It is just going to take time, but it can be turned around easily in basketball.

Yes, and it will be rolled over at the end of the season. Look for him to get a raise also.

Well Bruce is doing a bang up job recruiting. I think he stays around to see what these guys can do on the hardwood.

I doubt there are many coaches in the country who could have pulled the upsets AU has had this year, with that lineup. AU people understand that fact.

The ignorance of this post blows my mind. Bruce is counting down the minutes until his moral obligation to stay at auburn is gone. I actually think he's a worse coach now than he was at UT so what's funnier is the boogs misplaced hope to be anything more than a complete dumpster fire of an athletic department.

Bruce is breaking records:

Auburn school records: back-to-back 20-loss seasons (110 seasons); 7th straight losing season; 17 losses by double digits in single season.

I'm being serious actually. Bruce is a good coach but he has never seemed fully invested in Auburn. That's just my honest opinion.

Eh I kinda disagree. He's been emotional about being at AU and has done some crazy things to show he likes it there. May not love it there like he did ar Knoxville, but I think he likes where he is and the potential.

He did that at UT. Auburn decided to recycle him.

He's not committing suicide, but Auburn is killing him.

Lot of available knocks on pearl but simply spinning a yarn about not caring about auburn is lazy and absurd.
