I was proud that Hurts didn't fall apart after his mistakes. Seems very confident

Our defense looked much improved. gave up some yards in the air but we won't see a better passing attack the rest of the year.... Except for maybe Ole Miss. Looks like we have some power in the backfield... something we really needed to improve.

Trevor Knight looked pretty good overall. First game out of the gate and he got the job done in a big game. Just needs more snaps to get timing down.

Defense was solid

Actually lets crow about our kicking game...3/3 FGs, kickoffs not returnable...Fast Eddie Piniero is the real deal...then Johnny Townsend booms punts for 44.5 avg.

Defense smothers run game...UMass had 46 yds rushing and a 1.3 yd per carry...total yardage a paltry 180 yds. Jake Del Rio was very accurate and we played in a monsoon and threw the ball 49 times to give him timing practice. # 81 Calloway showed determination after catches to make first downs.

The DL is downright nasty, our oft injured LB Anzalone is a beast to go with Jarrad Davis, safety Marcus Maye will stick you hard...played a lot of youngsters....including r/s frosh Zuniga on the DL and he brings it. Eason will not enjoy our game.

It doesn't matter who the assistant coaches are at Alabama. It doesn't matter how many players Bama sends to the NFL. As long as the door on the head coaches office reads "Saban". Bama will be a contender. That is a positive I took from week 1.

With Auburns defense playing as well as they did I think Gus is making a mistake by running the hurry up offense and the gimmick plays. I think Auburn would be better off to slow the game down with a more traditional style offense some of the time and allow their defense to control the game and get the ball back. Just my opinion!

I agree BamaScoop, but Gus is too stubborn to change.

We had a good 1st half, and Drew Barker looked like a decent QB for our future.

UF's front 7.

Outside of 1 drive where they had 45 yds in penalties from doing dumb shite like roughing the QB and giving UMass 2 1st downs on penalties, which eventually led to their 1 TD. The front 7 was lights out. Davis and Anzalone may be the best LB combo in a nickel set in all of CFB.

Lock looks much improved. Better pocket presence and decisions.

Chris Black looked like a reliable, veteran WR that we certainly need.

The OL played much better than anyone could have expected.

We gained pretty much the seamount of yardage as WVU. The difference? They cashed in when getting inside our 30 while we did not.

Most of our issues were self inflicted type stuff which there is always hope that those things get fixed.

1. Clemson Beat Auburn in JHS for the first time since 1950 and no one got hurt.

2. Former South Carolina QB Stephen Garcia said if he could play for any coach now, it would be Dabo

3. Steve Spurrier admits he pulls for Clemson sometimes and has Left Columbia and is pissing in their faces back at Florida pimp their program....

Way to escape Saturday night

Dabo gonna lose some games he shouldn't if he doesn't figure out when to kick a field goal.

The decision to kick the field goal was created when Gallman ran out of bounds on third down stopping the clock when Auburn had no time outs. Had he just run dives up the gut Auburn would have had about 5-10 seconds tops..That most was very Les Miles-esque

FG kicker is shaky at best and had already missed on.

All the more reason to kick it in my opinion. If auburn comes down with that Hail Mary (and solidifies themselves as luckiest fricks in college football) then Dabo would never live that down.

I just don't understand it. Gotta have confidence in your kicker in that situation. Again though, Grats on the win. Fun game to watch, except for Auburns QB circus

-defense is gonna be salty. No points allowed in the last 38 min + OT.

-and fwiw, maybe we finally have luck on our side now. With the luck we've had in recent years this game would've been a L.
