Daboll clearly has to prove he has the ability to be a good play caller. Belichick's trust in him makes me feel better about it, and I think there are legitimate roster reasons for some of his failures, but he's never led anything better than a mediocre offense. So, it's not a slam dunk at all.

Nope, not a slam dunk like say, for instance, Ogre sticking his dick in a gators mouth just to impress a recruit. Now that there is a slam dunk. Gonna happen, just a matter of when.

It's a hire on par with 2008 or 2012. But Alabama has a bigger audience to judge now. That's to say it's unknown and wait and see. But Saban has proven to be great at assistant hires.

He's going to revolutionize recruiting in Cullman and Sand Mountain. Throw a chaw in, pull up in a F250 with a bass boat on the back.

The Shula era began...just like this

Shula had Arians as an OC, which was the last time he WASN'T highly effective. A great head coach with 5 star talent has a lot to do with how successful the OC will be.

Daboll was a successful championship winning OC at the college level before he decided to give the NFL a shot.

Uh, where? His last college gig was as GA at Michigan St under Saban. He's been in the NFL ever since.

Belichick had faith in him to run the TE unit

Other than you guys, nobody has had faith in Orgeron to hire him as head coach. Well, nobody but Ole Miss, and that was a train wreck.

From Fisher to Herman to Orgeron. Man, that would suck.

He's done pretty well so far. He hired a better OC than Saban

Still such a head scratcher. You have to almost try to be BAD with that level of skill position and line talent.

That puts Cam Cameron in some sort of class all by himself.

UGA hired coaches from the pros under Richt. None of them worked out very well. It will be interesting to see if this guy can teach his offense with ncaa mandated limits on time and new recruiting duties.

That trash has so far outscored his opponents by an average of 3-1....at least he didn't lose to ULM in his first year

+35 Missouri (4-8)
+35 Southern Miss (7-6)
+17 Ole Miss (5-7)
+28 Arkansas (7-6)
+15 Texas A&M (8-5)
+20 Louisville (9-4)

-10 Alabama (14-1)
-6 Florida (9-4)

So he went 3-2 vs teams with winning records, 2-2 vs teams with 8+ wins and 1-2 vs teams with 9+ wins.

Sounds awesome. Congrats on running it up on Missouri, Southern Miss and Arkansas. Big time!

Y'all just keep saying what ever makes you feel better....he did a great job overall and should have beaten FL by three tds and played Bama better than anyone not named Clemson. Also brought in the highest rated recruiting class of any SEC HC in their first year. And the cherry on top was making the Heisman look like a chump in our final game of the season. But yeah, he has been total trash so far.
