It's hard to ignore the QB play after Mariota and Kelly left. He failed to recruit and develop a good QB. He relied on FCS transfers that were mediocre players at Oregon. Both were benched

Outside of UK, A&M, and Vandy (and I guess the bowl game) offense has been terrible. Only reason we scored so much against VT was because they fumbled 5 times within their own 30, only scored 13 in regulation against App St, should've ended the game a drive before UGA Hail Mary, only scored 21 on USCjr.

Defense was an issue for the Vandy and A&M games but offense certainly exacerbated the issue. I was never a DeBord fan so I'm a little biased but I'm ready for change.

One step closer to the off-season title for the Vols!

They were fine last season when Vernon Adams was healthy.

This season was a mess for their program, but their offense looked good once they switched to True Frosh Justin Herbert, who broke their single game passing record and generally looked very good.

His ability as a HC can be called into question, but his ability as a QB coach can't really be questioned imo.

OK. I see. This seems like a good move then. Depending on who UT replaces him with, of course.

Helfrich is an upgrade, the rest of the options being tossed around ( promoting Larry Scott and NC states OC) don't do it for me

Helfrich is not going to coach for Lyle. Lyle will get canned next season.

Helfrich would be a slam dunk, Kelly would be terrifying

He is going to Indiana lmao

Meh...it's his home...born in Muncie, went to college at Manchester (Indiana) and graduate school at Ball State. He's 60 years old and wants to finish up his career back where he grew up.

Helfrich and Tee Martin are my top two choices (personally) and think that Helfrich is the more realistic of the two.
