I'd say sending 12 teams to bowl season is pretty productive. That's just me, though.

0-5 in BCS/New Years Six bowl games last bowl season and this bowl season.

So, yes, the SEC has taken a step back and the Pac 12 is better right now.

The Elite top of West teams all got spanked, SEC not very good at football anymore.

That's understandable since 7-5 for Arkansas fans is the pinnacle of success

You keep playing grab arse with me. Are you sure we aren't rivals? I'm getting that crazy, obsessive ex girlfriend vibe from you.

I guess you don't remember the Mallet/Adams/Child's/Hammilton years. Or McFadden/Jones/Hillis/Monk years

We were 0-3. Only Bama, Ole Miss, and Miss State played in New Years Six Games

BCS is included dude. Thus, it makes it 0-5.

Post our past bowl records and you'll get your answer. Also, all of the conference's highest placed teams lost.

The conference is down. No question. However, it won't be for long.

I do which is exactly why I find it odd that Arky fans are behaving like they won their first SEC championship

You're pretty stupid aren't you. The BCS doesn't exist any more. The New Years Day Six

Rose, Fiesta, Cotton, Sugar, Orange, and Peach.
How do you get 0-5 from those games

Because it shows that the top SEC teams the last two seasons are not winning at the national stage. That simple.

They measure SEC success in Championships.

It isn't their fault we've spoiled them.

That to me is a sign that the league is down. When the league is strongest, their are 4-5 teams that have 10+ wins, with two one loss or undefeated teams. Too many 6-6 or 7-5 type teams this year.

There also wasn't a single dominant team in the SEC this season. The rest of the country has caught up over the past two seasons. The Pac 12 was arguably better this year from top to bottom. The Big 12, in my opinion, has always been a little underrated in overall strength. The Big 10 is making strides in coaching and player talent, at least at the top.

The SEC still has elite talent, but I think we are seeing the tail end of a great run in coaching. Spurrier, Saban, and possibly Pinkel are in the twilight of their careers. Fans are becoming complacent with Miles and Richt. Vandy, Florida, and Arkansas have played musical chairs with coaches over the past 5 years. Butch Jones and Freeze seem to have their programs on the rise because they are good recruiters, but I don't particularly think they are great coaches. I'm uncertain about Mullen, Sumlin, and Malzahn, and Stoops will probably move on to a better job soon. The point is, there will be new blood and more stability in coaching ranks five years down the road, but until then, the college football landscape will be more balanced, which isn't a bad thing. Newton was the shite, until Einstein came along...

The SEC was at its peak when Miles, Saban, Urban and Steve were going at it at a high level and you also had Georgia.

Florida may or may not return to glory. Nobody knows how McElwain is going to do.

Richt will always Richt Georgia at least once a season.

Saban will retire some time in the near future and LSU is a mess right now with their passing game.
