I still never understood why they got rid of Nussmeier (or "mutual parting of ways" or whatever the hell it was). They finished second and fourth respectively in the SEC scoring offense in his years there. The defense is what ultimately let them down in 2013.

Sims looks like Dan Marino throwing the ball compared to Braxton Miller.

I don't get all this hate. He can pass well enough for Bama.

Since when does an Alabama QB have to be a prolific passer for them to be strong offensively?? I think Miller would kill it at Bama and Kiffin would tweak the offense accordingly.

Can you imagine a wildcat type scheme w/ Miller under center at Bama??

I don't know how legit this is or where it even started but I would take this kid in a second. This kid doesn't have to come in with a cannon arm to be effective. Look at Bama and Auburn's qb last year; they got it done all season and I'm sure he can pass as good as them. Hell they took a chance on a known woman beater so why not this guy; what's there to lose? I don't see any downside.

If I was a QB they were recruiting, I would seriously consider how it is becoming frequent that bama takes older transfers at my position.....IF he does actually go to bama.

You assume that bama will stay with a pro-style offense. Everyone loves to make fun of Kiffin(me included) but dude rocked it last year. I am pretty sure he did all that on a pretty tight leash. I would imagine that Saban might let him get a little more colorful with the play calling this year.

+1

Saban was in Kiffin's back pocket the entire season last year - he didn't call a play without Nick's approval. Kiffin did wonders with Blake Sims in the off-season and summer. I'm looking for Saban to let go of the reigns and I'm eager to see how creative Lane gets with the offense, especially with Drake back in the lineup.

Folks are saying BM is lame and can't throw - bring him in a RB to provide depth and a different skill set in the back field. We got room with JTaylor gone, so I'd be fine with BM in the RB rotation.

BM has a very live arm if he's healthy. He isn't an awful passer, but he uses too much arm in his 5-15 yard throws. Everything is a million miles an hour
