Am I reading this right, that South Carolina had never won a bowl game until after joining the SEC?

That honestly isn't that surprising. Up until very recently, USCe has pretty much been a doormat. The fact that they only made 8 bowl games before joining the SEC is pretty sad.

Not really a doormat. We've floated around the exact .500 mark for quite some time now. So maybe more like the Coat hanger on the way in the door.

To be fair, bowls were a lot harder to get to back in the day so mediocre 6-7 win seasons wouldn't cut it. Ever since it did become easy though we've become a regular if that counts for something?

LSU & Georgia = #1 in the nation in bowl wins since the 1995 football season

true story bro.

Well, I didn't know that bowl games only started in 1995.

No...you don't moron. The list was over the past 16 seasons
LSU= 11-3
BAMA= 6-5

It isn't even close. Now you can respond with some bs about the first half of this century...before most people on this board were born. The OP could have used "bowl wins during the BCS ERA" and those numbers would have been similar.

I think they had actually only been to 4 bowls before joining the SEC.

No it was 8. And I think we declined the Indy Bowl invite a year or 2 before joining the SEC. Don't ask me why, I agree stupid move.

South Carolina, 4-4

Top post says USC is 4-12 all-time. Was South Carolina really 0-8 all-time in bowl games through 1992? That's awful!

Arkansas lost 13 something bowls in the 90's and 00's.. That's pretty bad.

Worst era in Arkansas history was the 90's and it added to our bowl record just the wrong way.

Says who? The OP certainly didn't say that.

Alabama does have the most bowl wins in CFB, along with the most appearances. This January will mark the Tide's 59th bowl game.

I think UGA and Bama are the only SEC schools to play in the original "Big 4" bowls. Rose, Sugar, Orange, & Cotton.

Fiesta needs to be dropped by the BCS for the Cotton. Dallas > Phoenix and the Pac 12 does not deserve 2 BCS bowl sites.
