Kind of how I feel about projections of Arkansas to the Belk Bowl. We aren't going to send a lot of folks out to that game.

Ehh not sure if I like the comparison considering Brian Kelly left them prior to the bowl game.

If A&M were to go 11-1 w/a loss to Bama I'd honestly prefer to go to the Cotton Bowl and hope that the Sugar would want a 10-2 Tennessee.

Right now it looks like the Sugar is going to get either Baylor, West Virginia, or OU and I have little interest in seeing A&M play any of them. Sure it's the "better" match up but A&M has already played OU and WVU in bowls recently and we've had 100+ years of A&M Baylor games.

Cotton would likely give A&M Boise or Houston who we either have never played or haven't seen in a long time.

Also, on a very selfish note, w/the games being on Jan 2 this year I'll have work the next day and don't want to waste a vacation day 3 days into the new year for travel.

That Belk Bowl is an underrated gem of a bowl. Dockers and Chaps swag.

Why not A&M vs UH in the Cotton

Has potential to be a pretty uninspiring matchup. UH is likely to lose to Louisville later this year. That probably puts them in 20-25 for college rankings. Hurts their drawing ability.

On top of this, there is a reasonably good chance that Herman is going to be going elsewhere. ND, LSU, texass, etc... If that was to happen before the bowl the game... then they don't bring many folks at all.

I can see 10,000 to 15,000 empty seats in Dallas easily.

Not if A&M is playing. We will fill that bitch up for a NY6 Bowl.

I have a strong desire to see us wreck OU or Baylor in NOLA. JMO

We've been in the Cotton Bowl twice in the last 6 years and we play there every year.

I said why in the post above. A&M has never played Boise and hasn't played Houston since the 90s.

What would be to gain from OU in the Sugar? They got their asses handed to them by Houston and Ohio State.

It doesn't matter who an 11-1 A&M would play in the Sugar or Cotton b/c either way they would be heavily favored. Houston and Boise b/c they are G5 and the Big 12 team b/c it's considered to be down and easily the worst P5.

Also, I really hate the whole "There is nothing to gain from playing team X" thing. To me that just means you are scared of losing.

Agree with this. This would be a blast.

If we aren't doing something better... ... this NOLA is where I want to be.

The area around the Jerry World is a bummer. No use for this place at all.

Auburn going to the Sugar. Only reason they won't get to the CFP is two losses. But they will basically run the table.
