We’re nearly halfway through the regular season, and the bowl picture is now beginning to take shape for the SEC teams expected to become bowl-eligible.
It’s now consensus that Alabama will play Washington in the College Football Playoff semifinals, and that fellow unbeaten Texas A&M is destined for a Sugar Bowl clash with former Big 12 rival Oklahoma. Tennessee was projected to either the Orange or Cotton bowls by all six sites polled, and five of six are pegging Ole Miss to get the Citrus Bowl bid.
After that, things get a little murkier, but this week should help clear that up with Arkansas hosting Ole Miss and Missouri traveling to Florida.
SEC Country has compiled expert predictions made by multiple media outlets, including ESPN (Mark Schlabach and Brett McMurphy), CBS Sports, SB Nation, 247Sports and our own set of projections.

Man, they are SERIOUSLY riding that Washington train.
Not a knock on that, they deserve the praise, but man - I doubt anyone had them even sniffing the CFP at the start of the season.

Raises hand. All you had to do was see who they had coming back along with their schedule to know that barring a major frick-up they were going to be the undefeated PAC-12 champ. And any undefeated P5 champ will be in the playoffs.

I'm more worried about having to play Washington than I am Michigan or Ohio State in the Championship.

Alabama vs Washington is an intriguing match up, but I think Alabama would overpower them.

UGA vs Miami in TaxSlayer Bowl....count on it

I don't think a Chris Petersen coached team is getting murdered by anyone tbh.

I said in one of the many preseason prediction threads somewhere on this site that I thought Washington and Nebraska might really surprise this year.
But this is CFB. In reality, both those teams have losses coming up. I don't think this board understands how hard it is to go undefeated in CFB, no matter your conference. Just look at houston, these are young men who aren't focused all the time, just the way it is

neither OU or Baylor wants anything to do with A&M, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, or Ole Miss etc... N O T H I N G.

serious question...has an SEC team ever played in an out of state venue 4 times in 14 months? We play in Jax every year for WLOCP and we played there in the bowl game last year. If we play there yet again this season you're looking at record low numbers for UGA in a florida bowl. I mean I can't see why ANYONE would be geeked up for that other than FSU is an interesting matchup.
Also..
-MCB vs maryland, I yawned even typing that. Yeesh.
-Outback vs Nebraska..the next time we A)play in teh outback B)Play nebraska it'll be too soon
-belk bowl...just did it, no thanks.
Texas bowl vs KSU is the only really intriguing one and it's simply because it's a new venue and new opponent we haven't been forced into time and time again the last 15 years.

Why not A&M vs UH in the Cotton and Tennessee vs XII in Sugar?
This could be a possibility as well.
