The NOA is just the beginning. The uncertainty isn't that yall are in trouble. The uncertainty is the punishment.
Now yall could, and should, try to tell recruits it is no big deal. Any program would do the same.
The problem is the 13 other SEC coaching staffs will be telling the same recruits the sky is falling in Oxford. This isn't like a criminal case where the punishments are easily guessable.
Even if Ole Miss's argument is persuasive, just the atmosphere of uncertainty can scare off elite recruits that have other options.
There is no way to spin all this shite as a positive is the bottom line. No way.

And they will now be granted their release if they want . Serious though, does the NCAA only look into the current infractions or is the investigation now under way and new infractions could come up. I am not sure how that works.

You can't beat Saban 2 years in a row without retribution.

They don't predate current boosters or alum.
When this started the OM line was that there's no evidence of nothing. Then it was that it only involved track and wbb. Then it's very few violations. Now it's "ok it's football too but before Freeze" and guess what, it's 30 violations. That's serious Hoss!

Yep has anything even came down yet with the Tunsil issue? I know he was suspended for 7 games but that was Ole Miss's doing, right?

What was released today is a statement from the NCAA saying they are done investigating and these were their allegations.
It isn't proof nor is it stating punishments. The next step is the school has 30 days to respond to the allegations.
Thankfully....we don't live in some Iraqi village that goes ahead and chops hands based upon unproven allegations.

So, I'm a 5* recruit thinking of committing to Ole Miss and this crap comes out. I can go anywhere I want to. Why the frick would I want to go somewhere that might get shite on and not go to a bowl for 3-4 years? I can just pick up the phone and call Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge, Knoxville, Athens or Gainesville. They will all take me no questions asked.

We sat him and the NCAA cleared him

Because your other options are bolded and no one wants to go to those dumps for three years.

But you aren't....you're a BAMA fan that actually doesn't have a clue about what's going on.
If there isn't much to this regarding the football program....don't you think the coaches have already shown the documents to the recruits?
