Other than Auburn being the favorite I don't know how anybody can pick 2-7 with a straight face. I know it's a fun topic and all, but for the real season nothing would surprise me. A&M may win the SECW or they may finish 7th. And I could say the same about every other SECW team. Should be a fun year.

I agree with this

He's actually not far off.
LSU is in a lot of trouble. Talent isn't near what it is said to be and the coaching staff as a whole may be amoungst the worse in the SEC.

Can you elaborate where the talent is lacking?

Based on what exactly?

By your logic, if everyone says our QB position is lacking talent, does that mean it actually has talent?

I am not ready to heap dirt on LSU. For that matter I'm not ready to heap dirt on any team in the SEC West. Yes, other then Arkansas and the Aggies we were creamed in our bowl games.

That having been said Alabama could easily repeat as SEC champion. Auburn, if they show the vaguest hint of a hardon on defense could be scary. LSU has a ton of talent if they can find an offense. The rest?

Arkansas, the Aggies, the misbegotten schools could all finish with a ten win regular season and no one would bat an eye. A good team, probably two or three, is going to look a lot worse then they are coming out of this division.

You must be one the most uninformed Bama posters I have ever seen on here. Usually Bama fans are knowledgeable about football but after reading your post I will no longer say all Bama fans when lumping intellect as a fan base .

AU has the least about of question marks of anyone in the west

Isn't your whole defense, outside of Carl Lawson, practically a big question mark?

I know I'm supposed to get mad but I won't be surprised if we finish 6th. I'm expecting 4th but I haven't really ruled anything out. I'll probably be surprised if we finish 1st and mildly surprised if we finish last but other than that I know it's a huge toss up at this point.

eh, I can see where someone could pick those teams over LSU as of now. LSU losing the DC and the QB situation last year.

I for one think that the QB position will improve enough to finish better than 6th in the west. I know it's just the spring game, but both QBs did look better.

And I think Fournette finna eat. Like really eat.

He is a smart guy. .Always liked the Boog. No QB, D will be worse, and Miles will blow at least 2-3. 7-5 6-6 written all over this year.

Should get a bowl at least since they added couple more.

Mett was average in 2012 but lit it up in 2013. Guess no one on the coaching staff helped him out.

Agree that Mett had an awesome 2013 season, but he had some ridiculous WRs. Those guys would catch anything they could get a hand on. Blake Sims set records at Alabama (and we know he's not a true QB), but he had Amari Cooper. In the college game, the WRs make the QB in a lot of cases.

Well Carl's rehab is a question but appears to be way ahead, and perhaps in best shape he's ever been. If by question mark you mean lack of reps/playing time sure, but this D is way more complete than anythingbwe have fielded in 5 years, IYAM.

It's incredible how defensive y'all get when someone dares question your team. Also humorous that the OP that I was replying to questioned our defense which, while shaky at times, has shown far more consistency than Auburn's. But those aren't question marks or anything, right?

Question marks in the secondary, but the front 7 should be very solid.
