pretty funny how he says 80% of the SEC's OOC games are garbage, when 100% of Boise's in-conference games are garbage.

very true

The Boise poster is probably right that most SEC teams (if any) would get through those 4 teams undefeated.

The problem though is that Boise couldn't run through the other 3 and then face a legitimate SEC. No way any of those teams do that.

I'd venture to say that there are 6 teams in the SEC right now that would have a very good shot at running the table on those four cupcakes.

I disagree with that. 3 of those 4 are good teams. If Boise and TCU were the road games, then that'd be pretty tough. That being said the poster is acting like they run that type of gauntlet. They don't play a stretch like that. Utah would probably get handled, however the other teams would be tough if they were road games.

Exactly. They're saying SEC teams have a hard time running the gauntlet. This is proven since we actually do run a gauntlet.

I'm saying Boise wouldn't come close to running the gauntlet. They're a good team but only have to game plan for a couple games a year. Their poster makes it sound like they don't play cream puffs all year. SEC has played a couple against their conference and they were ugly too.

I hope the bowls intentionally match up those teams with good teams from the SEC or even the Big Ten. I've heard enough BS smack from those dumbasses out there. I think they've gotten enough hype now that real teams won't be overlooking them.

I'm not saying they're not "good" and I'm not saying all 6 SEC teams WOULD go undefeated. But they'd all have a good shot, and I think about 4 of them would win all of those games.

Would you rather play BSU, TCU, Nevada, and Utah, or Bama, Auburn, LSU, and Arkansas? I think I'll take my chances with the teams loaded down with 2 and 3 star talent.

I agree. The SEC has some bad teams every year, however you're going to have 5 or 6 tough games even in down years. It is never a one game season.

I'm interested to see what Oregon does this week. It's amazing they've gone through the season and only played 2 teams with a winning record. They seem better because they're in a bigger conference, however they've played a really weak schedule also. Their last 2 games are much tougher. Arizona is pretty good and Oregon State is on the road.

I agree here and forgot about Arky in my first post on this thread.

AU is undefeated and I ask which is harder.

LSU
Arky
USCe
MSU/UGA

or

Boise
TCU
Nevada
Utah

I think I would rather play Boise, TCU, Utah, and Nevada. I think AU would beat the hell out of Utah and Nevada. In fact I would much rather play Utah and Nevada than UGA and SC or SC and MSU.

Then you are left with Arky and LSU who I think are every bit as good as TCU and Boise.

And AU has gone undefeated against those and STILL have to play Bama and USCe again.

Basically, not only is the guys arguement ridiculous, but a 1 loss AU should easily go to the BCSCG over Boise or TCU.

I am willing to bet that Ark Lsu Bama and Auburn would all embarrass those teams. USC and State could probably play with them in most cases. If any of those teams switched places with state right now I bet they would have a 7-4 record too

I wonder if he realizes BSU is 0-4 vs the SEC all time? God UGA better make it 0-5 next season.

It's always about the non-conference games when you play IN a crappy conference, isn't it?

Serious question. Has Boise ever beaten an SEC team?

Tennessee sucks right now, but they may have more future NFL players in their Freshman class than all of Boise's conference opponents combined.

with the key (to me) in that statement is GO ON THE ROAD. why don't they go on the road. it would cost us millions to go on the road and play TCU or utah when they sell about 40m tickets and have no tv exposure. if they want to be in the big boy pond, they need to venture into that pond.
