I remember that game. That was the game that got all of the little rebel bear hopes up, thinking they would actually win a championship or something meaningful for once. Poor bastards went on to lose like 5 games that year and get blown out in their bowl game by 40 points.

IIRC we punt here, Alabama gets a few first downs and punts back to us THEN Bo throws the TD to Sanders with around 6 minutes to go.

This game best exemplifies just how good we would have been had we stayed healthy. We didn't have the depth that the traditional elites of this conference (Alabama, UGA, UF, i.e. The Big Three) typically have.
Sure, we beat up on the likes of the Presbyterian, Tennessee, UL-Lafayette and those type of teams, but this showed we can compete with the best of the best the conference has to offer. Last season was such a big WHAT IF.
