I watched the interview.

Bjork handled it well considering the circumstances and Pawl kept the pressure on him the entire time .... even strayed off passively onto the subject of the hypocrisy of organized religion - which surprised me when Bjork said Freeze wore his religion on his sleeve and there were limits because of Ole Miss being a state funded government institution.

I had heard the rumors about recruits being provided prostitutes at Ole Miss for several years - from a family member, big Ole Miss booster, in Olive Branch.

I've also been told by some pretty reliable sources that it's not uncommon in college football recruiting and it's been going-on for some time.

I know for a fact Clemson has done it for years because I've had two former taterheads, admit when they were liqoured-up at golf tourneys I've played-itback, tell me it happened during their recruitment and those were the Danny Ford days ... so Ford learned to do it from somewhere. Ken Hatfield put a screetching halt to the practice when he took over and I never heard anything about Tommy West or Tommy Bowden doing it ... but I've been told it is happening again at Clemson especially with the Florida prospects.

I also know for a fact that Tennessee did it some under Fulmer. I know this because I was told, at a wedding in Charleston by a former Gamecock, (it was his brother's wedding), that it happened during his recruiting trip to Knoxville. His father was sitting at the table and confirmed it. The player was from Memphis Germantown and was rated #1 at his position when he was recruited. They both shared their experiences at Bama, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Memphis State, FSU and South Carolina. The trips I remember best them describing were the ones to Notre Dame (locker with his #7 hanging with his name on a green jersey along with all the All-Americans that had ever worn that number at Notre Dame), and his visit to Tennessee because of the hooker and something else which shall go un-mentioned. They were very explicit, laughed about it, described her right down to eye color ... and both the father and son laughed about how the father caught the girl leaving his son's room at the hotel or the son would have never mentioned what happened.

So it does go-on and has been going-on for years.

Matter of fact up at Clemson the joke used to be if you visited there and committed you were guaranteed a box of cash, a new Lazyboy recliner, all the Pepsi you could drink and a great piece of arse ... to which one prospect allegedly asked his handler, "can I get peanuts included" and his handler, who was later named in the NCAA finding replied, "are the peanuts for the girl or the Pepsi?"

Those things I know for a fact.

What I had heard about Hugh Freeze for years, and now are evidently proved to be true, is that he was not indulging with the girls but was one of the coaches making arrangements for girls to be made available to certain big name prospects who requested escorts during their visits.

I was also told that some big name players expected that benefit because they had received the same treatment during other visits ... which made a lot of sense to certain people here wondering how Freeze had managed to flip some prospects from Clemson to Ole Miss.

With all of that said there has been a long standing, well known, rumor that Freeze had a steady piece of arse on the side in Memphis and that she suddenly found herself in high cotton with new digs and a car when he got the Ole Miss job. She lives somewhere out off of Covington Pike near the bypass.
