What are your sources on the matter?

The IPCC. The IPCC models all failed to meet the confidence interval, meaning man's influence on the climate via CO2 emissions is overstated. You are welcome to read the studies. They then decided to claim that the models helped strengthen their hypothesis, ignoring actual science. Man very well be the cause of any current warming, however until they can accurately calculate that amount, saying one way or the other is being dishonest.

CO2 lags warming as well, this has been observed through ice core data. It is just easy to track, which is why governments are so apt to use it. Earth has had colder temperatures with higher atmospheric CO2 and warmer temperatures with lower. The politicizing of this issue has completely ruined any chance of having a meaningful discussion on it.

Only among conservative Americans. Nobody else in the world...nobody else disputes climate change science.

Also wow. Who are you to say what are the capabilities of scientists to calculate anything

The fact that there are things with our climate, like solar output, cloud accumulation, etc that affect our climate that we cannot accurately simulate or predict at this time is why I can say what the capabilities of scientists are. The fact that if we currently had the capability to accurately calculate the causes of climate change and how our climate is affected, we would have models that fit within the confidence interval.

You do realize humans were able to deduce something as complex as relativity? We weren't so convinced of it until we sent satellites into space. The satellites had two clocks. One clock on Earth time and one adjusted for relativity, meaning because of the speed the satellite was traveling meant it would experience time just a fraction slower. Well relativity turned out to be the correct calculation.

Neat. I'll never trust a scientific consensus that has abandoned using the scientific method.

this argument doesn't prove climate change theory is valid.. majority of people used to to think earth is flat. so what

i can walk outside and observe the climate is just fine and nobody is dying from it

Yes they do. There isn't even consensus among scientists. Arguing "scientific consensus" is the most unscientific argument ever.

why don't you talk about the issue in the way you want and stop trying to control me homey

it is relevant that the climate is fine if alarmists are trying to scare people about it. they been talking a doomsday for 20 plus years but it never comes and doesn't appear to be coming.

i doubt the Ice age centuries ago was a picnic either. i don't think some warm weather is the end of the world, and people in south are used to it.

the global warming crowd has a vanity problem b/c they define normal climate as whatever they are used to, so any changes int he climate they see as alarming. but obviously the climate has always changed and there is no 'normal'. it is what it is.

So you don't realize it's a gradual thing?

I think I'd rather have another ice age.

ok

if global warming is such a big deal, why does it poll so low as an issue for people. people aren't not buying into the alarmist propaganda.

this country has a lot of real problems, islamic terrorism, crime, cancer and other diseases, poverty, etc but the left tries to make an imaginary problem , climate change, as the important thing.

Because the general population are morons? They don't care about anything that's further than 2 weeks down the road?

global warming advocates argue like bullies. if a person doesn't agree with you, they are dumb or anti-science, etc.

it is not surprising Michael Mann of the dumb hockey stick thing has filed a lawsuit against Mark Steyn for disagreeing with his conlcusions.

Hopefully some more recent predictions end up becoming true. I'd love this as well. Won't hold my breath though.

why don't you worry about yourself rather than other people. can you prove that you are smarter than most people? I don't think so

if catastrophic climate change is occuring, i don't think a tax hike by our government is going to save the day. lol that is the the 'solution', tax hikes.
