It was never supposed to get political. I thought it was funny when Simmons dissed Auburn, and I also think he is a douche. I thought we could discuss these things in a civil manner.
I was wrong.
Bonus factoid: I met Simmons once in LA right before Alabama and Texas played in 2010. He was kind of a dick. I asked him what he thought about the game, and he acted like college football was a lesser sport. And he predicted Texas as the winner.
