Finebaum was just doing more of his daily pimping for bama, as everything bama does is the greatest according to him.Direct quote in Oct. 2014: "the 3 national championships Alabama won were the 3 greatest days of my life".

If FSU makes it through they'll have played Pasedena and Dallas twice each in the last 12 months

I'm probably going to the game, but I'll be staying in Biloxi instead of NO.

I'm not buying this from Hancock yet. We'll see what happens. I ordered 2, but may not be able to go. In case I have to sell, I've been tracking every day on Stubhub. On Monday there were over 6,500 tickets for sale, minimum price $387. The number available has risen every day and the price has dropped every day. A few minutes ago there were over 7,200 for sale, minimum price $300.

Ohio apparently accounting for 23% of sales, with Alabama accounting for 21%

Don't know where this came from, because Alabama season ticket holders have not yet been informed if they will be getting tickets. May not know until next week.

OSU website reporting it. Of the tickets on the secondary market, that is what the sales were looking like.

I assume it's pretty easy to track stubhub and the like on the secondary market

I sell tickets all the time on Stubhub. There is absolutely no way of knowing the allegiance of whomever is buying the tickets. I have sent tickets to games in BDS all over the eastern half of the US. Someone from Washington, DC buys tickets...who knows which team they are a fan of?

think the Alabama-Ohio State game will be the closer matchup of the two. I think Oregon beats F$U by 3 scores.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I think FSU will beat Oregon fairly easily. They are more talented, bigger and skronger. Just think they will be too physical for Oregon and when Oregon has come up against really physical teams they get manhandled. I see no difference with this year/game.

The FSU defense will be able to shut down the run game, apply pressure on Mariotto like he hasn't seen all year. Plus they have the secondary to cover, press and hold the Oregon WRs from going great off.

Lower scoring game than most think.

FSU 31 Oregon 23, a late score makes it closer

The point is that 25% of the tickets are being billed to Ohio addresses. Obviously no one knows if all of them are OSU fans but there is likely correlation

I agree. I think Ohio State is a lot better than FSU.

And some Ohio State website jumped to the conclusion that that meant anything? :What about tickets being delivered to Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, etc? Who do they think those are going to?

I honestly don't know how they would measure it, but maybe that's why 21+23=44% and not the full amount of secondary sales.

My guess is Michigan fans that want another chance to root for a team against Ohio State University.

So, you see, OSU is still, without question, the driving force behind ticket sales here.

Case closed.

Just got my email...no luck. 594 Tide Pride points was the cutoff...and that's a lot of points. I've had tickets 9 years and the guy next to me has had them maybe 20 years, and neither of us got tickets.

I've yet to meet anyone with more than 400 points. I think the vast majority of members with 500+ points are corporate and premium seats. I've had 2 seats for 9 years and barely have over 100 points.
